Here we go on something fresh and in a way VERY experimental and different for the start of the year!
Besides just the person involved and subject matter on a technical levels I decided its time to start branching out and so I started off with changing up the brushes I used and went with a less sketch and almost a more clean lineless thought for it ( still anchored a bit in my previous sketching style ) but for a test I really dig how it's come out! But on to the big reveal and subject matter if this, as most wont really remember but yeah I decided it is time Arlo my OG MERVASian and geckodriod needed a revamp and update and generally some attention thanks to some impromptu ideas, it being the new year and where / how he ended up appearing in the last RP I did, it all clicked!
So yeah welcome back Arlo and look at how spiffy and updated he is seems he was granted some additional parts when He got updated to better match is role and what he can now do ~.=.^
Coming in from the cold to a quiet inn and tavern, as you lean on the bar inquire about a storyteller and the mystical abilities it has to weave and use the very space itself to enhance its tales... Of course off in the corner is the very person you were looking for, Arlo is balancing on his tail and flipping through a book with a smile before he eyes you up knowing exactly what you are asking for, without hesitation Arlo rummages in his satchel as small changes start to envelop the inn and the storyteller begins to draw you in...
Heh heh heh yyyeeppp totally playing on up to Arlos new upgrades, even visible on his body. where he now has a far FAR more expanded ability to manifest and manipulate elements within MERVAS sims to craft a new level of engaging role plays! Not to mention he can shift his body to take on any NPC thus becoming a guide if needed!
Tried for a more fantasy tavern-y vibe but it still needs some work but overall the big BIG emphasis was on Arlo and his new changes, like his crest getting more detail some additional bits coming off his shoulder and tail. Overall I just LOVE how this has come out and how much hes kind of grown! So yeah I'll be giving Arlo some more love this year but yeah for now enjoy and may you encounter the geckodriod and his stories in your travels
