I need to infodump about this AU so badly... Anyways.

Basically, Shadow is teaching Sonic how to use chaos control, however, Sonic does it wrong and appears outside the island, falling (I imagine the Chao Garden is on a floating island or something) from it and taking the Chao with him by mistake. Both are about to crash into the sea but Shadow manages to rescue them before that happens.
