Recently my attention turned to porcupines, and I ended up particularly enamoured with the crested porcupines of Africa and Asia. There's something quite endearing about them, with their chubby bunny-like noses and eyes that give them a dozy, placid expression. They're surprisingly cuddly with one another, and seem to think nothing of gently nosing one another's spines. They also have rather nice looking feet too, always a plus ^^; Unlike the arboreal (not that closely related) species of Americas this kind are built to be stout diggers, making burrows that are doubtless a boon for plenty of other animals. One quirk they possess is having broad, blunt spines in their tail that they can rattle to give a warning: I'd totally end up shaking out a rhythm with mine!
So fee free to give me plenty of pats and cuddles: I'm sure that with regular treatment with Prickaway™️ I'm not as spiky as I look ❤️*
