"Darkness. Putrid, smelly, gurgling, inescapable darkness. This, Shawn realized with disturbing finality... was exactly why not. Exactly why he shouldn't have trusted this damn folf. Exactly why he should have turned around and ran. Ran as far and fast away as his legs could carry him. As his friends, he realized now, were trying so desperately to plead for him to do from the beast's belly...
He whimpered to himself, thinking about it now, shifting uncomfortably in the folf's gut. So deep below the surface, he knew. So deep that no noise, no matter how loudly he screamed, could possibly hope to be heard by a passerby. Nor even his friends. Not anymore at least...
In that moment, the rapidly decaying skull of one of his friends, eaten so much earlier before him, bumped against him, and he screamed, trying to kick it out of the way... only for it to bounce elastically against one of the fleshy walls, right back into his face. Tears streamed down his cheeks, dissolving into the acidic muck that surrounded him. He couldn't tell whose skull it belonged to. Adrian? Terrence? Roy? It didn't matter, he supposed. All had tried so desperately to warn him. All had tried so vehemently to save their dear friend...
All Shawn wished now... is that he could have saved them as well. He knew he could have, if he had just ran. If he had done so, he could have gotten help. He could have saved his friends! They would all still be alive now... if only he had caught on to the folf's ploy... maybe he could have saved any future victims as well. But it was too late now. Only a little bit more time, and... a-and he would end up just like...!
A strong belch reverberated around him, and he screamed, feeling with disdain as the folf chuckled heartily, rubbing over the swollen gut that comprised him and his dead friends. Let me out, he begged. Let me out, LET ME OUT!! PLEASE!!
On the outside several meters below the surface of the water, the folf merely licked his lips and patted his belly. Being a water-fire folf, Fathom's lungs were well adapted to aquatic environments. He could hold his breath for much, much longer than any ordinary land mammal. Just long enough, he supposed, to digest this last one before heading back to his cabin and taking a well-deserved nap...
He hummed dreamily at the thought, patting his gut once again.
"Hahhh. See? Told ya, Shawn," he murmured, licking his lips. "Told ya we'd get along juuuuust fine. In fact, we're getting along so well, why, I surmise you'll be unrecognizable from myself in just a few more hours! Nothing but more folf fat. Heheh~"
A gurgling, bloodcurdling scream from the belly was the only response...

Back to drawing, woohoo! Figured I'd resumed with a relatively simple sketch. I figured, also, hey, we're technically still in summer. Might as well have a summer-ish themed vore drawing. Figured a continuation of the comic here: (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52476021/) was a fun idea. So I went for it. Plus, the idea of drawing Fathom gurgling a meal and belching underwater was too good to pass up~
