"While out on a walk, a lonely young man named Layne is kidnapped to come to a party by his old best friend, Chris, held by Chris’ current best friend, Austin. Layne hopes perhaps to make some friends there, but the party proves regrettably to be much too rowdy for his liking, and so after much deliberation, he decides to head out into the backyard, to cool off and get away from everyone for a while.

Meanwhile, Austin’s German Shepherd has just returned to the backyard from his nightly hunt. It’s the pup’s favorite way to catch dinner – not being a fan of non-living food – but as it happens, this night he is unsuccessful. Layne and the dog meet up as though by fate, alone in the backyard, and they even manage to form a bit of a friendship with one another! But after a series of events makes the dog realize a certain… peculiarity in the young man’s taste, the hound’s hunger is kicked back into high gear, and his perspective begins to change: seeing the innocent young man indeed as a good friend… but also as a fine-tasting, fine-looking meal to fill his belly! And, indeed, with every grumble of his belly, the poor young man looks more and more like the tastiest morsel the dog could ever hope to consume: a special, special friend he never, ever wants to let go. Will the dog break down and gobble up the poor young man, condemning him to a painful stew in the pit of his gut? Only one way to find out…"
