While they're a bit nervous about water on their own, together this lizard and treecko duo can easily handle some lengthy dives! Today, they've headed down to explore a coral reef together, taking in the sights and occasionally greeting the fish that pass by. Looks like a lot of fun!

Did an RP based on this with squirtlerocks07.

S: near the ocean, I was just enjoying the sun and having a good time relaxing in the sand, I had a pair of goggles over my forehead just in case I wanted to go for a swim later, I had no idea that my treecko buddy was gonna be here today

L: Nearby, a treecko familiar to you is heading toward the water, clearly ready to go swimming themselves. He doesn't notice you quite yet, as he wades into the water.

S: I happen to turn around and notices the treecko, my face immediately lights up with pure joy

"Treecko!!! Buddy!!! It's me!!"

L: The treecko stops and looks over, his face lighting up as well. "Oh, hi!" He runs over to give you a hug, wagging his tails. "It's so cool to see you again!"

S: I immediately hug him back tightly, smiling warmly at him
"Yeah! It's real cool to see you again bud! I was just thinking about you earlier today"

L: "And I was thinking about you! I was actually kind of sad I was going to be diving without you, but you're here, and we can go swimming together again!"

S: "Oh wow! Yeah I was honestly thinking the same way, I didn't feel like diving today because you weren't here, I brought my goggles, but now I can use them to go for a nice swim with you!" I hug the treecko a little tighter
"I miss you bud, everyday when I'm without you I always end up missing you so much!"

L: "Same here... Can't wait to go have fun with you again! I bet there's gonna be all sorts of stuff down there for us to check out!"

S: "Yeah, I'm really looking forward to seeing what we find! Even if I'm usually nervous before we dive...heh..."

L: "Well, you know I always do a good job of helping you keep calm, we'll be fine! It might just take a bit, that's all."

S: "That's true, you always do a great job at helping me out and I appreciate it a lot, your a good buddy"

L: "And so are you! Now come on, let's go have some fun!" The treecko starts heading back toward the water, motioning for you to follow.

S: "Ok!" I happily follow the treecko into the water and start to swim along side them, my tail happily wagging behind me

L: The treecko soon reaches the water, and starts having to swim not long after that due to how short he is. "Alright, let's find a good spot to get started..."

S: "Right..." I swim along with the treecko and eventually the two of us come to a good deep spot in the ocean to dive

L: The treecko stops, looking down. "Okay, this seems like the place! Ready, buddy?"

S: I lower my goggles over my eyes
"I-i think so yeah... I'm trying to not get so nervous..."

L: "Hopefully you'll stay calm on the first dive this time..." The treecko starts deeply breathing to get ready.

S: "I hope..." I start to deeply breathe as well to get ready, hoping I can relax and stay calm

L: After a little while, the treecko feels he's ready. "Alright, I'm good to go, and hopefully so are you. 3, 2, 1!" He dives underwater, hoping you will too.

S: but as always I get too spooked to dive down the first time, sighing annoyingly as I couldn't bring myself to go down

L: The treecko surfaces again. "Yeah, I kind of saw that coming... You can do this, you always manage it in the end!"

S: "I know, ugh I was really hoping I won't be scared the first time but...as always I got spooked... I'm sorry treecko..."

L: "It's alright, I know you have trouble with this. We'll go whenever you feel like you're ready, alright?" The treecko gives you a hug.

S: I nod and give the treecko a hug back as I try to calm myself down, eventually after a little bit I look at the treecko again
"O-ok...i-i think I'm ready..."

L: The treecko nods. "Let's try this again, then." He starts deeply breathing again.

S: I start deeply breathing as well, this time I hold the treecko's hand so I don't get too scared again

L: The treecko smiles at you, and continues. Soon, he's ready again. "Okay, second try. 3, 2, 1!" He starts to dive once again.

S: this time, I take a deep breath and hold it as I finally dive under with the treecko, I whimper just a little as I was nervous, my cheeks puffing with air as I turn to look at the treecko

L: With his own cheeks puffed up, the treecko gives you another hug in the hope of keeping you calm, letting a few little bubbles loose.

S: I hug the treecko back, trying to relax as I was submerged again, also letting a few bubbles loose from my nostrils, eventually I seem to calm down, smiling a bit at my buddy

L: The treecko smiles back, and he starts swimming deeper to get a better look around the area with you.

S: still holding the treecko's hand I swim deeper with them, letting some bubbles loose from time to time as I look around for anything cool

L: There's a reef not too far away! The treecko excitedly points it out to make sure you've seen it, and he begins going over toward it.

S: as I notice the reef, my tail starts to wag happily as we get closer to it to explore

L: Soon enough, you and the treecko arrive at the reef, with quite a few fish swimming around and seemingly not minding you two being there.

The treecko happily looks around, putting any possible need to breathe to the back of his mind for now.

S: my cheeks turn a little red from the need to breathe, but I try my best to ignore it and look around as well

L: One of the fish comes over to investigate you, swimming around you in curiosity before poking your cheek with a fin.

S: I giggle just a tad as they poke my puffy cheek, I give them a little pet, being gentle and not applying too much pressure

L: The fish seems a little nervous about the petting at first, but they quickly relax and let you continue.

The treecko comes over to watch, smiling even though he's starting to blush from needing air.

S: I was starting to visibly blush from my own need to breathe, but I try put it in the back of my head as I happily pet the fish

L: Over time, some other fish come by, all checking you and the treecko out. The treecko starts petting one himself, wagging his tails in excitement at there being so many.

S: my own tail wags as well, going over to pet some more of them, letting some bubbles loose as I let a quiet grunt of strain out

L: Some of the fish do seem to recognize that you need air, but not all of them. One gestures toward the surface, trying to tell you you should probably head up soon.

S: I notice what the fish was trying to say, and I didn't feel like pushing myself at all, so I listened to them and swam up to the surface, gasping for air once I got back up there

L: The treecko follows you up, gasping himself as well. "Man, this is already great, and we only just started!"

S: "Yeah! This is pretty awesome! I'm enjoying myself now! I just don't wanna push myself today, and take regular breaks when we need to you know"

L: "Definitely, let's just keep taking it easy. No sense in going really far with breath holding when we're trying to have fun, right?"

S: "Exactly! That's all I want is to have some fun with my buddy here, hehe!" I wrap my arm around the treecko

L: "Haha, yep! Same here!" The treecko gives you another hug.

S: "Hehe! My buddy!" I hug him back happily
"Now, let's go on another dive shall we?" I start deeply breathing

L: "For sure!" The treecko starts deeply breathing again as well.

S: after a while, we both seem like we were ready to go

"I think I'm good... why don't you hold onto me this time? I'll do the swimming for us"

L: "Okay, yeah! You can swim faster than me, anyway." The treecko swims behind you and holds onto your back. "Ready!"

S: "Let's go then!" I take a last deep breath before diving underwater again

L: The treecko holds his breath as well, smiling as he goes back underwater with you.

S: I smile as well as we submerge back underwater, I reach my hand to pinch my nose shut as I look back at the treecko, wagging my tail as I swim down deeper

L: Seeing you holding your nose prompts the treecko to do the same for now, minimizing the amount of bubbles coming from him. He wags his tails as he and you return to the reef.

S: only a few tiny bubbles escape me and when I saw the treecko hold his nose, I couldn't help but smile more and even giggle as we return to the reef

L: The treecko smiles back, before starting to look around the reef again, continuing to take in the sights.

S: I look around the reef myself, hoping to see something interesting or unique, I was hoping we would see some other pokemon down here as we continue to explore around

L: And before too much longer, sure enough, another becomes visible - a buizel! Noticing the two of you, he swims over. "Hi there! Nice day for a dive, huh?"

S: "A bublizel??? Hblow cublte! Ybles! Ybles iblt ibls!" I smile even more at the buizel who came over and I swim a little closer to them

L: Treecko: "Yeblp, deblfinblitebly! Anbld yoblu DBLO loblok cublte!"

Buizel: "Well, thanks! I like the look of you guys too!"

S: "Thblanks sblo mublch!" I go over to give the buizel a little pet on their head, smiling as I do
"I liblke buiblzels, thbley ablre vblery cublte!"

L: The buizel smiles at the petting. "So, what brings you guys down here? Just exploring?"

Treecko: "Yeblp, webl're jublst hblangbling oublt toblgetblher."

S: "Yblep, havbling a cblasual moblment unblderwater" I smile brightly

L: Buizel: "Same here! Even though I can't breathe underwater, I always have an easier time relaxing underwater than on land."

S: "I ablways gblet nerblvous thble fblirst tiblme arblound bublt my budbldy ovbler hblere alblways hblelps cablm mble doblwn"

L: The treecko nods. "Anbld Ibl'm prblettbly goblod ablt iblt toblo, iblt dibldn't tablke loblng thblis tiblme!"

Buizel: "Ah, cool to see you two are such good friends!"

S: "Yblou kibddiblng? Trbleecko ibls my bblest friblend! I loblve hblim!" I giggle before I pet treecko on his back gently

L: Treecko: "Anbld hble's mbly beblst frblienbld, toblo!" He gives you a little hug.

Buizel: "Nice! Do you two go on dives like this often?"

S: I giggle a little and hug him back

"Ybleah! Pblretty ofblten if wble meeblt ublp!"

L: Treecko: "Itbl's kiblnd oblf noblt thblat ofblten thblat wble meblet, bublt wble alblmosblt alblwaybls gblo swblimmbling whblen wble dblo!" He's starting to blush a little from all the air he's used by talking.

Buizel: "Ah, well, I hope you two manage to meet more often!"

S: my own face blushes a bit from the talking

"Ybleah, mble tbloo..."

L: Buizel: "You guys okay? You're starting to blush a little."

Treecko: "Kiblnda nebled aiblr..."

S: "M-mble tbloo...we wblere plblanning obln pusblhing oublrselfs toblday, iblts a cablusl dblay"

L: Buizel: "Then you may as well head back up and breathe. I'll come with you two, I could use a breath myself."

Treecko: "Alblrigblht, yeblah, leblt's tablke anblothbler brbleak."

S: "Soublnds gblood" I swim back up to the surface and once we break it I gasp for breath

L: The treecko gasps as well, and the buizel just takes a calm breath as he surfaces alongside them.

Treecko: "I always get jealous of how long water types can hold their breath..."

Buizel: "Yeah, that's sort of a thing with us. But, keep practicing, and you can at least get close!"

S: "Yeah, me and the treecko will definitely have to do some practicing, I mean I've got a least a decent time with some help"

L: Buizel: "I'd offer to help you two practice, but you did say you just wanted it to be casual today."

Treecko: "Not really in the mood for practice, yeah. Thanks, though."

S: "As much as it would be nice, I do not feel like pushing myself...although, maybe one quick little practice session wouldnt hurt? We just won't push ourselfs till we're like blue, but then again...we said casual..."

L: Treecko: "...Actually, yeah, just one round of that. May as well get a little of that in."

Buizel: "Alright! I'll make sure you guys stay safe, so no worries."

S: "Thanks, I'm not planning on pushing myself at all that far, we'll just treat it as relaxing underwater for a while, sitting down and taking in the sights"

L: Treecko: "Same here, we haven't really done that yet on this trip."

Buizel: "I like doing that too, so that'll be nice for all of us. Anyway, start getting yourselves ready!" The treecko starts deeply breathing once more, though the buizel doesn't.

S: I start deeply breathing myself as we prepare for another dive, hoping I can stay calm

L: After some time, the treecko is ready again. "Okay, ready whenever you are!"

Buizel: "Same here!"

S: "Right, let's get it on! 3....2...1!" I take a last deep breath, holding it in before letting myself sink down back underwater

L: The treecko and buizel both do the same, joining you underwater. They both just sink instead of swimming, slowly going back toward the bottom.

S: eventually we sink back to the bottom, I make myself comfortable in a cozy spot underwater as I sit down with puffy cheeks, I pat the spaces on either side of me, inviting the treecko and buizel to come sit next to me

L: The buizel sits to one side of you, while the treecko sits on the other. The treecko smiles up at you, before starting to look around the area again to pass the time.

S: I smile back at the treecko, then I wrap my arm around them, doing the same to the buizel with my other arm as we look around the area, letting some small bubbles loose from my mouth

L: Buizel: "This place is really nice, huh? It's one of my personal favorites."

The treecko nods, feeling the same. He doesn't say anything, keeping his air in.

S: I nod as well, not wanting to waste air myself, smiling at the buizel

L: Some time passes as everyone relaxes together, and for a while the only real sign that you and the treecko will eventually need air is the puffed cheeks you both have.

S: my cheeks turns slightly red in the time that we've been relaxing, keeping my arms around the buizel and treecko

L: The treecko is starting to blush a little too, but he's still calm for now. The buizel is still doing perfectly fine, of course, without a hint of strain.

S: I try to relax myself and not get super nervous, but it was starting to get a little hard for me as the minutes tick by

L: The treecko leans against you a little to help keep both you and himself relaxed, and he holds his nose shut as well.

The buizel looks at the two of you, making sure you're still doing okay.

S: I move my hand to pinch my nose shut as well, even as I squirm a bit uncomfortably and whine a bit

L: Giving you a nervous look, it's clear the treecko is beginning to struggle some.

Buizel: "You two sure you should keep going? This is getting a bit less casual..."

S: I look up at the surface, the air so close, I told myself I wasn't gonna push my limits today, and seeing the nervous look on the treecko, I think it was clear that we need a break as I kept whimpering and whining out bubbles

L: The treecko has the same thought, and he jumps off the bottom to go get air.

Buizel: "Yeah, it's probably about time for you two to head back up."

S: I jump up as well and together we surface and gasp for breath, I pant a little as I catch my breath

L: The treecko is briefly panting as well, and the buizel joins you two up there, calm once again.

Buizel: "Pretty good for such a casual hold, that was a few minutes!"

Treecko: "Yeah, that was pretty nice!"

S: "That was nice yeah, I was able to stay relaxed for a while until I couldn't take it anymore... not pushing myself at all..."

L: Treecko: "We'll do some real practice some other time, for sure."

Buizel: "Makes sense. And if I happen to be around for that, I'll try to help you guys out with it!"

S: "Thanks a lot! You think we should do another dive treecko or did you have enough?"

L: Treecko: "I think I want to just relax on the beach with you for now, if that's alright."

S: "Fine with me, I had enough dives for right now"

L: Buizel: "I could use a bit of a break too, can I come with you guys?"

Treecko: "Don't see why not, sure!"

S: "Yeah of course buddy! Your great! So I wanna spend some more time with you!"

L: Buizel: "Alright, cool!" He starts swimming toward the shore, as does the treecko.

S: I swim back as well, when we get there I sit down on the edge of the shore and take my goggles off for now

L: The two Pokemon sit on either side of you again.

Treecko: "I hope the next time we get to do this will be fairly soon..."

Buizel: "I'm sure it will be, don't worry."

S: "Yeah, I wanna see you again little buizel, your great! Hehe!"

L: Buizel: "Aw, thanks! So are you!" He hugs you.

Treecko: "Yeah, I don't want this to be the only time we meet you!" He joins in on the hug.

S: I hug the buizel back, nuzzling it a bit as I giggle happily

"Thank you so much!"

L: The buizel happily nuzzles you back, and he and the treecko laugh a little too.

S: my tail wags very happily, and the 3 of us continue to relax for a long time, smiling the whole time

L: Eventually, it's getting late.

The buizel looks out at the sunset. "Guess I'd better get going soon, don't want it to get really dark on my way home..."

Treecko: "Yeah, we ought to head out soon too..."

S: "Yeah...as much as I don't wanna leave either of you guys..." I tear up slightly

L: The treecko sighs. "Same here... But I know we'll meet up again sometime."

Buizel: "Hopefully before too long..."

S: "Y-yeah, I hope so..." a single tears streams down my cheek, it was clear I was sad that we were gonna separate from each other

L: The treecko looks up at you. "...Would it be alright if I stayed the night with you? I don't really think I'm ready to leave you again..."

S: "Aww of course buddy! I wouldn't mind at all!" I wipe my tears away and smile

L: Treecko: "Thank you, it's gonna be great!"

Buizel: "Any chance I could come by too?"

S: I look at the buizel's cute little eyes and warmly smile
"Aww of course you can come over too little buizel! In fact I wouldn't mind if you spent the night with me too, my bed is pretty big and I think I'll be able to fit all of us!"

L: Treecko: "Yeah, I'd totally be up for having you come by too!"

Buizel: "Sweet, thanks!"

S: "Awesome! Glad your gonna come over! Come on let's go then! My house isn't too far!"

L: Buizel: "Alright, let's get going!" He and the treecko both get up, ready to follow you.

S: I keep an arm around both Buizel and Treecko as I walk with them towards my house

L: Just before it's starting to truly be night, you and the Pokemon arrive at your house.

Treecko: "It's cool to finally see this after so long!"

S: "Yep, it sure is huh? I remember I first met you in the bathroom, you were holding your breath underwater in my bathtub, heh"

L: Treecko: "Heh, yeah, that was a long time ago now..."

Buizel: "Haha, that must have been a pretty big surprise!"

S: "Yeah it certainly was! And I actually ended up joining him down underwater and it was actually rather relaxing"

L: Treecko: "We should do it like that again sometime, for old time's sake. For now, though, getting kinda tired..."

Buizel: "Yeah, we should get to bed soon."

S: "That's a good idea! And yeah I'm pretty tired myself, come on ill show you my bed"
I lead the two of them to my bedroom, where I have a decently sized bed that can easily fit all 3 of us, I climb in the bed
"Come on in guys!"

L: The treecko and buizel both get into bed with you, once again being on either side of you.

Buizel: "Oh wow, you've got a really good bed..."

Treecko: "He sure does, I've kind of missed this."

S: I giggle
"Aww thanks guys! My bed is pretty cozy" I pull a blanket over us to get comfortable and wrap my arms around the both of them, already getting sleepy as I lay down on a pillow

L: The treecko and buizel both hug you back, closing their eyes.

Treecko: "Well, good night, guys..."

Buizel: "Yep, see you two tomorrow..." He yawns.

"Goodnight my buddies..."

I close my eyes and eventually the trio all fall asleep together all snug and warm
