After her fight against Lord Tirek, Twilight became visually impaired. Under Celestia's advice, she moved from her castle in ponyville to Celestia and Luna's in Canterlot to continue her Princess duties with the help of her mentor.
Celestia's influence impacted not only her royal life but her personnal life aswell, getting married and having two children with Flash Sentry just to satisfy Celestia's expectations, twilight feels strongly unhappy and wishes to break out of this situation Celestia put her in.

However, Celestia vanishes and Twilight is made Queen of Equestria. A new lifestyle , more harsh, much more complex and much more tiring gives her the opportunity to escape from her loveless marriage and her unwanted kids. Slowly drifting away from her loved ones.
