What started as just me sketching out old OCs turned into full colored art, lol.
So... From left to right: Coraline, Kam and Kirara! Time for some lore!
Coraline started out as a Robot Monkey OC, and with a friend we developed her until eventually she became her own character, a "White Light Dragon" as I named her species.
She doesn't really have a fandom attached, but I guess lately I repurposed her as a Sonic OC.
Granted, for that repurposing, I need to draw more art of her, lol.
The long and short story for her is that she's the grumpy daughter of a former Biker Gang member, growing up in the wrong side of town gave her a bad attitude, a potty mouth and a propensity to get in trouble as she doesn't let anyone push her around.
Tho she tends to mellow out a bit with those she considers her closer friends, and then deny it altogether, she's a fun character!
Kam is... I guess a bit of a feline alien, I started conceptualizing her back when I was neck deep into the game FTL: Faster than Light.
I loved the random narratives of that game so much that I ended up wanting to develop my own set of characters and their adventures!
Given how old FTL is and how lacking my art skills were back then, you can guess why that idea never really took off, but I feel like I can revisit her and her crew every now and then!
The whole idea is that she and her crew are part of a space delivery company, so traveling through space means a lot of adventures, fighting off space pirates, and exploring other worlds, big part of why I still held onto her old doodles :P
Kirara is probably the only character here that is the OC of a proper fandom thing, namely Sgt Frog/Keroro Gunso!
I developed her as a team member, partner and love interest of Zanene, another frog OC I hadn't drawn in forever, which you can find here!
The whole story I had developed for her and Zanene was that they were childhood friends after he saved her from some bullies one day, then growing up together until they both wound up in the army, she's not as good in combat as Zanene but she's an excellent technician and scientist so she supports him in a different way in their team!
It's another one of those fandom ideas you have but lack the skills to draw and the money to commission someone, so in a way I drew her cuz I think I owe it to myself to give her and the others a face!
Who knows, I may just draw them more often over the course of 2025!
