Background/History
Dyne was the late husband of Delilah who sired Dylan, Dawkins and the rest of the 13 pups. Dyne was a military police hound that was born and stationed in America, where he underwent severe training at a tender pup age. Over the years, he has grown accustomed to his military lifestyle, which severely hindered his sociality with other dogs. One day, he got transferred to UK after an accident on the job which nearly cost the life of him and his partner, forcing him to take a vacation to alleviate his work trauma, where his work antics trigger him to chase the police car to a building. There, he reaches the hideout where he spots the gang of crooks who aren’t giving an inch to the officers’ demands and ambushes them to the point where one clips him in the leg with a gunshot to make him crash into a pile of debris. The gang member was able to finish him off, but the officers catch the men off guard, causing Dyne to smirk before passing out. When he came to, he comes face to face with another dalmatian named Delilah, who tended to his injury. He thanked her and tries to leave, but the dalmatian wasn’t having as she ordered him to rest and relax. Over the course of the days, Dyne and Delilah began to chat about their life as they quickly became good friends. Delilah introduced him to an old friend of hers, PC Pearl, a police horse who abides by the law and is very skeptical and disapproving of Dyne’s recent actions. A few dogs came to his defense, Dirk the doberman, Jasper the Russell terrier, and Greta the spitz, which the made the mare reluctantly back off. Over the course of the days in London, Dyne has grown accustomed to the lifestyle until one day, he gets an urgent howl from Jasper that Delilah has gone missing from the clinic. This sets Dyne off as began looking for clues about her whereabouts until he spots Delilah in a cage being taken by a mysterious group in a van. He follows and eventually found the crooks’ hideout where he spots the leader talking to someone on the phone, someone by the name of ‘Cruella’. He may not have heard of the name, but he wasn’t going to let Delilah suffer at their hands, so reaches the cage and frees her. Unfortunately, the group spots the dalmatians escaping into the streets and gave chase with their van. Both dalmatians split up, forcing the group to chase Dyne, who led them towards PC Pearl and her rider, who were walking by. Eventually, Dyne loses the pursuers as the mare chases them down along with a bunch of sirens after them. The military dog eventually finds Delilah, who slaps him worrying her so much as he apologizes. The nurse dog then kisses him as love has blossomed between the two. Over the course of the months, Delilah eventually bore Dyne’s pups while he makes every moment of his family worth it. Until one tragic night, Delilah was greeted by Pearl at the home holding her mate’s collar, while tearfully announcing that Dyne died during the line of duty, which devastates Delilah as she gave a mournful howl of her husband’s passing. Later, Delilah and Dylan visit Dyne’s grave to pay their respects as she gave her son, his father’s collar as he accepts it. As they leave, Dylan promises to help his mom and siblings in any way he can, so his father’s spirit can be at peace. Unknown to the mother and son, Dyne's spirit is seen looking over with a bittersweet smile.
