Made it for a friend for secret santa, here is a little set up for it:

The winter got a hold on him, and nothing seemed to feel right around that time. The insolation, that would usually help, was not enough...

Sonic could sense something wasn’t right with Shadow, but asking was not an option. Instead, he lured Shadow to the forest, in the middle of nowhere. After a short battle Sonic called it, grabbed his ankle, said that something is wrong and he can’t walk...
“Is it even possible for you to break anything in your body?” Shadow wasn’t too eager to help, but after a short banter Sonic managed to convince the black hedgehog to take him to Tails' secret base that happened to be nearby.
The base was small, just plane hangar really. When he got in he noticed the place was warm inside.. Few more steps in and Shadow turn on the light - and then he noticed on the other side of the room a tent covered with Christmas lights, full of pillows and blankets and even snacks lying around. There was also a small radio and TV next to it. It looked rather cosy.
“Tricked you ~” Sonic, who was carried in Shadow’s arm, smirked and started to brag how he made it for them.
Shadow took a few steps in and tried to drop Sonic on the sheets and run, but a blue hedgehog wrapped his arms around his neck and stuck to him, making them both fall into the tent.
“Auch! Ankle still hurts, you owe me to stay and not leave me all alone here!” Sonic made a snarky remark and then made sure Shadow is covered in all blankets there is to find.
The black hedgehog looked a bit annoyed but he stayed. If isolation was the usual solution why not isolate with someone else this time…? Not that leaving Sonic alone with the ankle was a good idea so staying had more pluses than minuses.
He would stay and finally feel relaxed for a moment.

Just to wake up to find out Sonic lied to him about the ankle only to guilt trip him, but he decided to forget about it. This time.
