This wasn’t really planned, at least not right now. but I wanted to draw something like that for a while.
Anyways, it was an experiment, 100% digitally painted with no lines and stuff. I think it’s not the worst effect for the first time
And here’s a poorly written scene to go with the picture
Princess Luna stood at the edge of a ruined tower of what used to be Everfree castle. Long ago, in a different age she called this place home. Those ancient walls witnessed her coronation along with her sister to princesses of Equestria, their long rule side by side, long happy centuries of pace... as well as her downfall and defeat. It was here that she took her last stand against her sister’s armies and it was here that she got banished for a thousand years. These walls also saw Nightmare Moon’s return as well as her final defeat by hooves of six brave friends.
How fitting that after all those events, these crumbling ruins became a scene of another significant moment in Equestrian history - rebirth of her vampire children.
Flood of emotions from Rainbow Dash’s awakening still filled her mind. Pain of awakening was just as real for her as it was for the blue pegasus. It was a little reminder she created for herself all those centuries ago, to always remember what her beloved subjects much go through to receive her gracious gift.
But those were different times, when ponies were asking for her gift out of devotion, it was never forced onto them like this, not even by Nightmare Moon. Even back then, when they were fighting for survival and acceptance, when her sister’s betrayal drove her mad with grief, she never even thought about such actions. And now she was drowning in doubts and guilt for all the things she did and about to do.
She almost hoped that the visions are true and the danger to Equestria and to her newfound friend is real.
She shook her, trying to get rid of dark clouds covering her mind. there still was work to be done. she had to make new home for her beloved friends and her loyal servants who were still in Canterlot.
She pushed herself off from the ruined tower and spread her wings calling upon the powers of the Night. she willed enormous chunks of what used to be castle walls to rise from the ground, tearing vines and roots that covered them over the centuries. effortlessly putting together pieces of ancient walls and fusing them together one by one ruined towers and halls of her old home rose from the depths of time, surrounded by a silver pillar of moonlight.
