A mother-to-be, Cora, was home alone, cooking for her husband, who would soon be returning. She hummed a tune while feeling her baby kick inside her belly when a knock at the door startled her.
Walking towards the door, Cora couldn't help but wonder who could be visiting so late in the day. It was too soon for her husband to have returned. As she opened the door, she was met with an unexpected sight - some sort of humanoid creature with a bug-like appearance.
Cora was surprised and confused by the presence of an anthro. What could they possibly want with her? As she looked more closely at the person, she realized it was winter, only a few days before Christmas, and she was wearing a Santa hat, cloak, arm sleeves, leggings, and a sexy Santa suit.
Her skin was pink, and a large red sack was behind her. She was petite and had a huge smile on her face as she reached into the sack and pulled out a present, holding it out for her to take.
With a high-pitched, cheerful voice, she exclaimed, "Congratulations, new mom! We are here to offer gifts and support for all mothers!”.
“O-Oh umm, thanks, I guess?” Cora said.
"Aren't you cold with only those clothes?" she asked hesitantly.
"Nope!" the pink girl exclaimed proudly. "My people come from a cold place, so we're used to it!"
Cora was intrigued by the anthropomorphic figure before her. "I haven't seen one like you before. What type of being are you?" she asked curiously.
The pink girl stammers, "OH! Umm... we are a rare type of sea slug. Yeah, that's right, an Anthro sea slug!" Her words come out in a rush, as if she made them up on the spot.
Cora scratched her head, looking puzzled. "Hmm...more kind of anthros seem to be appearing lately. It's bizarre. I remember not too long ago when the first anthropomorphic being was born. I think it was a cat?" she recalled.
“OH, and my name is Qorinna!” said the slug.
Hoping to be left alone, she reluctantly agrees to take the box. She prays that her nosy neighbors aren't watching. As she reaches for the box, her fingers feel a slimy substance on its surface.
"T-Thanks, I guess," she says with a forced smile to the Qorinna.
"I am always happy to help shape the future of our people!" the cheerful Qorinna exclaimed.
"Well, okay. Merry Christmas, Miss." Cora said as she waved goodbye.
That was a strange thing to say. As she reflects on it, lost in thought, she looks down at her hand holding the box. What could she have given her?
She lifted the lid off of the box and peered inside. Two beady, yellow eyes met her gaze.
"What is this- oh my goodness!" she exclaimed as a small green slug leaped out of the box and into her mouth.
The slug wriggles out of her mouth, trying to make its way back in. She tries to grab hold of it, but it slips through her fingers and successfully slips into her mouth, sliding down her throat.
She attempted to vomit out the slug but couldn't, causing her to gag. What was this strange creature, and why did it have such a desire to be consumed? And why did it taste surprisingly sweet?
She suddenly cried out, "Oh my god, I can feel it moving in my stomach!"
She lifted her sweater and saw something in her belly moving around while her stomach made gurgling noises. It felt strange and foreign, and she knew it wasn't her baby moving inside of her.
“I have to call my husband... I need to get help!” She tried to stand, but a numbness overtook her, causing her to fall to her knees and collapse onto her side.
She struggled to make her way towards her cell, but her pregnant belly and stiffening body made it difficult. Suddenly, her stomach began to churn and ache as a sharp pain shot through it. Cora glanced down at her abdomen, only to see it expanding rapidly and her skin turning a sickly shade of green.
She gasps in shock, her voice trembling with fear. "W-what has that girl done to me? What is happening to me and my baby?" she cries out, her words echoing in the room.
She managed to touch her now green stomach, which felt like rubber. The green hue continued to spread across her body, causing a tingling sensation as if something was pulling at her backside.
She glanced over her shoulder and saw what appeared to be a tail sprouting from her lower back. With growing horror, she watched as it grew longer and thicker. It resembled the one the pink slug girl had who had bestowed her the gift upon her.
“HELP!” Cora screamed, but her cries were suddenly muffled as a pink hand covered her mouth.
"Don't worry, my dear. There's no need to cry out for help because I am here to make everything all better," reassured Qorinna.
Qorinna announced, "Your new ruler has arrived! It's time to surrender and accept me as your leader."
The queen gently placed a hand on the mother's growing belly, feeling the movements of her unborn child. Qorinna closed her eyes and rested her cheek against them, a loving gesture toward the life inside.
“Oh, it looks like the baby is dividing again! How wonderful, more servants for me!” she exclaimed with joy. “This plan was a complete success!"
Cora’s voice trembled angrily as she demanded, "What does that mean? What have you done to my child?"
"Please show some respect when speaking to your queen. And you should be thankful; it simply means our baby has become four babies, just like how a cell divides into two. Your child has divided into four!" the queen scolded the mother.
Qorinna spoke with determination, "Enough talk. We have sufficient potential mothers to give birth to a new army for the return of my people."
"Add her to the others in the van!" The queen commanded, as a large male slug anthro wearing a santa suit entered the house with a big red sack. He picked up the mother and carefully placed her inside the sack and then they walked outside.
Cora grew weaker and stiffer as her transformation continued. The last thing she saw before being placed into a large sack was her hair falling out, and then her eyes closed.
Cora's eyes opened, and scanned her surroundings. She found that she was surrounded by other pregnant slug mothers, all of them varying shades of colors but pink. Some were staring at each other with fear in their eyes, while others were lying on the floor, crying and repeating, "This can't be happening" repeatedly.
Cora turned her head to the side and saw a blue slug mother staring at her bulging belly in disbelief. She stood and approached her, eager to find out what the hell was happening.
“Umm, hello? Do you know where we are or what has happened to us?” she asked the blue slug.
She shakes her head, her gaze fixed on her swollen belly. She hesitates before speaking, wondering aloud, "Do you think these are still our children inside us, or have they transformed into something monstrous?" she asks.
Cora stuttered, at a loss for words, as she gazed down at her belly and gently rubbed it. She now carried four babies instead of one, but they were still her babies no matter what the crazy pink woman had done to them.
Just as we were about to continue her conversation, a tap from the microphone grabbed everyone's attention. All the expecting slug mothers turned their heads towards the stage at the far end of this large, seemingly abandoned warehouse.
Qorinna’s voice sounded sweet, high-pitched, "Greetings to all my beautiful brood mothers!"
The crowd stood frozen as the queen with a male green slug anthro standing by her side, acting almost as a guard. The woman who was once human or another type of anthro felt anger bubbling up inside of her as the queen continued to speak.
“You have all been selected to be the new mothers of our upcoming empire, which we will bring into this world!” she exclaimed.
"You see, I am not from this world. My planet was destroyed eons ago," she said with sadness in her.
Wait, what? Was she not from our world after all? So she wasn't an anthro, but an alien! This thought crossed the mind of Cora. Muffled voices could be heard throughout the warehouse as the other mothers chattered to themselves in hushed tones.
As she began to announce, "Now with me as your new queen—" just then, someone interrupted her with a loud yell.
An enraged mother shouts at her, "You're a crazy bitch! You ruined my baby!"
Then, another person shouted, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME? I WAS A BEAUTIFUL WOLF! NOW I'M THIS HORRIFYING CREATURE WITH NO FUR LEFT! AND MY PUPS!"
The queen's expression shifts to shock as she faces the mothers, who are upset. She opens her mouth to speak, perhaps trying to defend herself, but before she can say anything, an object is thrown in her direction, narrowly missing her.
“HEY, WHO TREW THAT!” the queen snaps back.
Qorinna raised her hand, almost as if she was trying to command them to stop. She concentrated, attempting to use her mind link to control them all like a hive mind, just as she had done with the mother who had given birth to her. However, instead of success, she received a flood of rage from all the mothers, overwhelming her mentally and making it feel as though her head might explode.
“AAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhh!” Qorinna screams in pain, coving her head.
As the angry mothers continue to hurl objects at her, her guard rushes over to shield her. Desperate to escape, she and her guard quickly approach the back exit.
"Something is wrong with my mind link, it should have worked! I-I don’t get it…" The queen cries out in frustration at the barrage of attacks from the enraged mothers.
As soon as they left, the mothers let out a cheer and then turned to each other, sadness returning to their faces. "What now?" one asked. And why are we all wearing these sexy Santa suits?" another added.
With a satisfied rub of her belly, Cora declared, "I'm heading home!" The others nodded in agreement and poured out of the warehouse and onto the city streets. Familiar with her surroundings, Cora took in her surroundings with ease.
She made her way home, ignoring the curious stares from both humans and anthropomorphic beings. All that mattered was getting back to her husband, who must have been beside himself with worry. After an hour of walking, she finally saw him outside their house, anxiously scanning the area with a cell phone.
As he noticed her approaching, he gave her a confused look while she prepared to explain what had happened.
"Excuse me, ma'am. Can I be of assistance?" he asked, tilting his head and raising one eyebrow in confusion.
With tears streaming down her face, she stammered, "L-love, it's me... Cora"
“Umm, what?” he said.
She dropped to her knees in the snow, tears streaming down her face. "I-I was just cooking at home, and this insane pink slug girl appeared and transformed me into this!" She sobbed uncontrollably as she tried to explain to her husband what had happened to her.
The husband rushed towards her, his eyes locking onto hers. "Is it truly you?" he stammered with emotion.
She nodded Through tears and confessed, "Yes, she turned others as well." She continued, "And our baby, too... she did something to them. Now we have three more in me." The sobs racked her body as she spoke.
His eyes widened with concern as he helped her back to her feet. "Let's go inside and talk about it," he said, pulling her into the house. He lightly kissed her cheek as she stood in the doorway before closing the door behind them.
As night fell, the police received numerous reports of missing mothers returning home as strange slug women. According to the mothers, they had been kidnapped by a pick alien slug girl who wanted them to give birth to an army for her. But the perpetrator had escaped the darkness before the police could catch her. Now, authorities were on high alert and had asked citizens to report any sightings or evidence of her whereabouts as the transformed mothers had been relocated with their husbands to a designated area in the city for observation and monitoring. The government wanted to prevent their condition from spreading and also ensure that they received proper care and check-ups.
