Special camp trip.
Excited today. You get to go on your very first camp trip. You was excited with the group that you had and everyone you was ready to enjoy yourself and to be with nature for the first time. Which is kind of scary and fun at the same time being a young individual as yourself. So you was very happy. On your way there you kept thinking about all the things that the group said that they were going to do. Tell scary ghost stories and roast marshmallows over fire. And the first time you get the chance to enjoy roasted marshmallow over graham cracker with a touch of chocolate. Your mother has been keeping you away from chocolate or quite some time. Now you get to eat some chocolate without having to worry about your mother screaming at you. This is all things that you've been wanting to do for a very long time.
As everyone arrive to the camp you was amazed as a site. It was quite a big one a little bit larger than what you were thinking. It had about four cabinets. It had facilities on site something that you didn't think cancel capable of. You do not know exactly what the facilities are but you can definitely see that there is buildings there. It look more modern than it does a remote site. The counselors get everyone together and tell everyone what cabinet do they want to be in. They assign you two cabinet four. Along with two other people in the counselor.
Go to your respected cabinet. When you walk in you was a little bit not thrilled. On the outside they looked at like something like a grand great thing but on the inside it needs a little tender loving care it look like it haven't been careful or over decades. You wonder exactly where are you going to sleep there was no bad so anything like that. The counselor reassure you that they can pretty much make this work. You looked at everything as a disgust and so then most of the campers who was assigned to this cabinet. But you got to work I'm trying to make the best of what you had cleaning up all of the mess that was left behind. Fixing up it making beds out of wood logs and whatever material you can find. And then using your bed roll that y'all had as a foundation for bed to make it comfortable that you'll be sleeping on wood and saying sleeping on a mattress. You felt like that you were in some type of episode of Flintstones or something.
Time pass in the morning came it was time to get breakfast. You didn't hesitate you was hungry you was ready to eat. So you follow the counselor to the main building where you can smell breakfast cooking. You walk in and you can smell it and smell the bacon eggs waffles and all kinds of breakfast items. You was excited you couldn't wait to get your mouth into some food. As you climbed up on the bench waiting to be served you noticed something everyone else will get in served but you was not getting served at all. You called out to your counselor and say where is your food he told you to be patient. So you waited but by time you got around to you there was nothing left hardly other than a couple of pieces of toast that was almost burned to the crisp. You felt very disappointed everyone else got the best and you got crumbs. It was like they did that on purpose to get at you. It was like whatever was going on in school just roll over here. You start to regret even had came.
As time went on things didn't really get much better for you either. You will getting picked at and for some reason you was the laughing joke of everyone. Everyone was finding the way to pick at you with about something it was like there was just pulling out everything that they could. Any counselor didn't really do anything about it much. No counselor really did anything about it they just let it go. You were getting sick of it no matter what activity that you was doing they pound away to pick at you and do something. You felt like this was some type of revenge it was taking upon you. At school you had some kind of protection out here the only protection you have is an adults and they don't care.
Later on that night you had enough you got tired of being picked at you got tired of everyone making fun of you. You packed up your stuff. And you snuck out after managed to find a flashlight. You went to the main building after managed to sneak in it ain't like they was trying to lock it up. When you got in you grab what you could and stuff your book bag full to the rim with whatever food and snacks that you can find. And you grab some important material just in case. You decided that you're going to head back home someway and somehow. You didn't know exactly how to get back but you knew you have to escape this place.
When the morning came the counselor that you was with woke everyone up but knows that you was not there. It seem like at first he didn't make a big deal about it. For overtime when he could not find you he began to get concerned. He realized that you was missing and he knew that someone has to go find you.
He went to talk to the main counselors and told him that you was missing they also got concerned they knew it they did not return with everyone they were going to be some problems. So they knew that they needed to form a search party to go find you but this was in the middle of nowhere. And neither one of them had any experience of dealing with the wild. None of them knew how to survive. So they did the only best thing that they can possibly do it the wire in for help. But how shaky is singles was out there they was shocked at anything went through.
Meanwhile HQ you got word once they were able to pick up on the single I realized that they had a situation on their hand a missing kid that was missing from a camping trip. They told him don't worry they will dispatch a unit immediately to investigate the problem and find the individual.
When a unit got there which was consist of. Chase Skye, Tracker, Zuma.
The counselor explained that the last time they seen you was at night and then they didn't see you again they knew the situation I had was dire so Chase ordered Skye to go ahead and do a aerial scan so to see if she could find any trace or where he could be.
Meanwhile Tracker was using his specialized skills to try to track down any clues that can give him a hint of where you could have been heading to. Meanwhile Zuma was doing his own thing as well. He began to be looking for clues also.
At time passed on Zumba managed to find some information. He was managed to be able to find some clues that can layer on be useful but also he found your diary when he read through the diary he felt a little bit bad. He was hearing about how you kept saying that you were being bullied and abused and how you ran away hoping to find your home Zumba question where the night he should share this. So he took the diary and placed it into his backpack and decided not to share it. Whatever reason Zuma felt like that sharing it made me make things a little bit more complicated.
As time went on Zumba convinced Chase that they should split off it would be a lot easier and they can cover more grounds. Chase agreed and allows Zuma to split away from the group. Zumba who is not known to be a great rescue and search puppy went on his own way to try to find you. Why did others was also doing their very same thing.
You see there was a reason why Zumba was keeping the diary. Inside of this diary there was other things that he discovered that made him wonder if this is the reason why you would being bullied put. Plus the clues that was inside the diary was clear that you were trying to find your way back home. And plus he already picked up on your scent but he used tools to throw everyone else off. But what reason is not to be known yet . Not quite sure why he's doing this. But there must be a good reason for it right.
As time went on and night time is falling you managed to find a little area where you can rest it was much farther away from the campsite to the point that you have lost deep into the woods with no navigating tools you're not able to tell what's north south east or west. You always had a sense that you're home was South but without doing exactly where that is you just stuck. There is no path no landmarks or anything like that that can help you out. You just out here right now in the middle of nowhere.
You start to set up camp. One thing that the counselors and everyone at camp did not know that you was an excellent nature survivor. Your dad when he was alive used to take you out all the time camping you know all about camping. But you never really been camping in years since his death. As you set up what you could with the material that you gathered you pray that it wouldn't rain that you had no tent to be underneath just your bed roll. You may do what you had to make a small fire not big enough to do anything but enough to keep you warm and it's snacks that you meant to get you begin to eat them. You hope that you was able to find your way home before you run out of supplies. Your book bag was not the biggest.
As time went on and the night got more darker it wasn't for long before you felt a wet nose sniffing you. You wasn't quite sure what it was but you felt something sniffing you and then you felt a lick on your face. You quickly woke up and you screamed at first because you couldn't see what it was. But when everything clear and you were able to see the bright lights and then the bright lights were dim down a little bit. It was clear it was able to see who it was. It was Zuma. He managed to find you. You looked at him you couldn't believe that you would meet him for the first time you felt excited but you know this is not the way that you wanted to meet him. And for him to be out here you know exactly what's going on. You're like if you going to be dragged back to the camp site and go through this stuff all again and probably punished for everything that you've done.
“You can't make me go back. I don't care what you say I would just keep running and running and running eventually I will find someone who would listen to me. I'm not going back”you yelled at Zuma. Zumba shook his head.
“Keep your voice down if you don't want to get spotted by the others. They are very good at hearing things especially Chase and will Skye in the air she can spot you. And Tracker will eventually be able to pick you up if you doing all that yelling if you want to keep yourself from returning back to your torture chamber. I advise you to listen to me.”
You are not quite certain what Zuma had in mind but Zuma had a plan to get you out safely without the others knowing anything and get you to a safe point before he began to let the others know. You was a bit confused about the whole thing. But Zuma was not confused at all. He knew exactly what he was doing,
“I can't help to feel like what are you trying to do. You work for them they will be able to track you down there will be able to know exactly where you are and they will find us and return me back to that awful place I'm not going back.” You kept telling him. He kept shaking his head at you. “You got to play a little bit smart if you want to outsmart anyone. You can't leave bread crumbs around and you can't leave a noticeable trail don't worry I destroyed any kind of tracking or trails or any type of footprints that can leave them directly to us. Also all communication devices that they're using will be jammed. They won't be able to do to track you down it would appeared that you are somewhere else I said a dummy up that is way far from the location where you at that way they would go to first. I know what I'm doing. They don't know I'm not a dumb puppy and I'm a little bit more clever than what they think. Thanks for me learning a lot from Rocky I know how they make all kinds of gadgets. One thing Rocky talked to me is how they make Jammers and to be able to mess up singles. I don't know why Rocky taught me that. I guess sometimes he like to do things on the wild side too.” He said in a joking way.
You were kind of curious about Zumba so you begin to ask him a little bit more questions. But he quickly gets kind of push you away whenever you asking questions.
“Yeah it is true I am the water and rescue unit. But don't let that confuse you a lot of us is trained in different areas other then I remain specially. So I'm no different. I know more trees than most of the puppies give me credit for it. I just don't say anything. I always watching and learning. I watch Marshall I learned from him. I watch what Chase does I learned for him. I watch Skye and I learned from her. Tracker what he's quite simple. He may be a little bit complex but I'm still able to pick up on everything for him that's all I got very good at tracking things down. I got a nose I can smell like anyone else. They mainly treat me like I don't know when I'm doing or they're not really that needed since I'm not called out so many times. They think I'm a dumb puppy but I'm not I'm quite more clever than what you think.”
He felt very proud about that. It was anything he felt very pleased about being able to outsmart the others. But still his motives was still quite unknown even to you you're not quite sure exactly what his attentions are and why would he deliberately go against what he's been trained.
As a night became day and his the sun came up you fell a lick on your face. You woke up and Zumba was there Zuma uses his tools to put out the fire that was going on then he managed to grab your bedroom and he pulled it up for you and placed it back inside of your book bag he told you it was time to move on. Staying in one place too long can definitely be a bad idea.
So y'all set up on your journey to try to find your way home. And you follow him carefully. You are still happy you meet in your hero he doesn't know it. But you been having a very strange crush for him. But you didn't want to say anything or let that get any way. You always thought that these puppies with something up and imagination you heard about the rescue unit but you never had a chance to meet anyone. It's like meeting a celebrity even though it is that's what they do on a day by day job.
Meanwhile back at the campsite the counselors was in upward they couldn't understand how they could lose a camper. And some of the campers was a beginning to get worried they couldn't grasp what happened. They started to blame each other especially the bullies but the bullying start blaming everyone else before you know it you had a bunch of back and forth going on.
Chase being a level head that he is managed to come everyone down and say blaming each other is not going to bring him back we have to stay level and we will eventually find him and he said that he already got in contact with the locals and they send it in more resource sooner or later they will be able to find him and there will be no worry.
Skye was getting concerned she could not get in contact with Zuma no matter how hard she tried there was no communications. She began to bring this to Chase attention.
“I can't get a communication to Zuma. I had single to the base that we have communication issue. They also cannot get no communication line in.”
She said to him. He looked down to the ground and got concerned also. “We are in the middle of nowhere I'm shocked at anyone can communicate we have the best communication tools that ever could be made I don't know what's going on.”
Cracker managed to make it back before it got too dark. “What news do you have?”Chase ask him.
“I cannot detect it sent I cannot detect anything. There's no footprints there's nothing it's like he's just completely vanished I'm not sure if he left or he got abducted. But something happened and whatever and whoever it was they made sure not to leave any evidence behind they have well planned this whole entire incident to make sure that no one can track him by normal means. I'm an excellent tracker if I can't find them there is a strong possibility that no one can find them we have to hurry it's been a day it only takes 3 days of being out here without food and water and who knows what can happen situation can go from being bad to the worst outcome. Normal living creatures cannot go without food and water more than 4 days. This is already one day in and we moving into the second day so you can imagine what's going on. And according to what I got information from the scans earlier there is no lakes nearby either. So there's no way to get natural water I'll let you know the proper plants and stuff to eat do you already get the water out of there. The nearest lake that I found is at least a hundred miles from here. That's why the latest scans that was given. Thanks for the aerial cover that was given to me from Skye” he was very confident in everything that he was saying. Chase believe him after all he is an expert in tracking down almost anything that's in his name.
A time went on night time came again and it was time to settle down again. Zumba realized that they are in the middle of nowhere and he realized that they have to have a water source lucky for him he always had water on him. He had enough water for at least a week that's for his self. Usually it is used when he's on his missions. But since his tanks that was filled up with water was not necessarily needed he decided to use the water now for their self so they can have something to drink.
“Listen we going to have to rational this and we got to share the same drinking material I hope you don't mind drinking after me. Don't worry I'm not a very messy drinker. We can drink at the same time if you want to that way you want to.”. He offer you a drink will you being so thirsty you didn't hesitate but you noticed the way that he drink versus the way that you drink was totally different. You felt kind of embarrassed because you knew you have to kind of drink like him if you were going to get a drink of water I mean after all he's still an animal in some sense. So both of you manage to share a drink together. You still felt very odd about everything. Still was happy that you were with your hero.
“I wish I had met you on better terms. But it's hard to meet your favorite hero who worked as hard as you do or is in a very important job. Would not be in the situation like this. I mean I don't know”you look down to the ground with some sadness.
“This is not 100% your fault. I understand how it is to be bullied and pick. It's not fun to be the laughing joke and they laughing Bud of everyone joke. I know a certain somebody who definitely lives for the moment of the spotlight. But that's not you you don't want to be the laughing stock of everyone. You want to be treated normal like everyone else and not to be bullied about what you like. I don't blame you I will try to get away from it too. But you are in a tight situation more tighter situation than normal people. And me I'm taking a big risk knowing that I going against everything that I've been trained and taught. But I don't care when it comes down to saving anything. It's not always about following every rule that's written sometimes you got to go against the rule to be able to save a life”
He looked back at you. You looked at him
“I can see it in your eyes you only have one opportunity and I understand. I can see that there's more to it than this this. I normally wouldn't but I can understand where you're coming from. As long as you can keep a secret then no one else have to know. But if you're going to do that I will advise you to get you some energy first can I can be a wild one. That's only if you're comfortable about whatever it is that you thinking about”. You wonder to yourself why is he talking to you like this. You wonder to yourself when he trying to hint at. Whatever it is it's like his whole entire demeanor has changed. Into something else. You're not quite sure but where it is you know one thing you want to try to find your way home and you want to get out of the woods as quickly as possible.
