Instructions for use: Place in a filled bathtub or hot tub, wait for it to fully dissolve, then fully submerge for a minute. Effects last 24 hours.
Warning: Do not use if pregnant. Discomfort is normal, but if you begin feeling pain, leave the water immediately.
Setting the brief instruction guide aside, the lizard looked down at the enchanted bath bomb in his hand, before dropping it into the tub. Before long, the bath bomb had fully dissolved, tinting the water a light blue. Once he'd gotten in the water as well, he felt a tingling on the parts of him that were under it... But, nervous from anticipation as he was, he remembered what to do, and took a deep breath before laying down in the water.
The lizard stayed still, as the magic gradually did its work. His scales changed their angle, softening and growing into feathers, and his nostrils were blocked for a few seconds as a beak extended from his face, before its own nostrils formed. His tail retracted away to nothing, before more, larger feathers fanned out in its place. At the same time, a more intense tingling spread along his legs, changing them to fit the bird form he was slowly taking on, and he felt a few painless clicks as the bones in his feet adjusted to make those feet into talons.
Soon, the feelings faded, and the change was done. The new bird sat up and exhaled, before looking over his new body. He let out a satisfied chirp, eager to see what it'd be like to spend a day in this new form.
S: on a casual day, a lizard recently received a package in the mail for a special bath bomb that when submerged under its water, you can turn into a bird! So excitingly the lizard goes over to his tub and fills it with water, getting ready to try this, however before he could, there was a knock at the door, it seems his best friend is dropping by for a visit, which was a Turtwig
L: The lizard sets the bath bomb on the edge of the sink and goes over to open the door, smiling at his friend. "Hey Turtwig! Cool to see you again!"
S: the turtwig smiles warmly at his lizard buddy
"Hey buddy! Good to see you too! It's been a while since I visited you, so I thought I drop by to hang out with you! Whatcha up to today?"
L: "I was actually just about to test out this cool thing I got." The lizard gestures to the bath bomb. "Apparently if you toss that in a bath and then stay underwater in it for about a minute straight, it turns you into a bird for a day!"
S: "Whaaaa????" the turtwig's eyes go wide at that "No way, like an actual bird?? Whoa, sounds trippy... but I'm curious, I gotta see this!"
L: "I'm not entirely sure it'll work, but I'm still pretty excited to try it out!" The lizard tosses the bath bomb into the water, and it quickly dissolves, tinting the water blue. Once it's fully dissolved, he gets into the tub, just sitting for now as he looks down at the water. "Oh man, kinda nervous..."
S: the turtwig jumps up onto the edge of the tub to watch, sitting down "I'm sure you'll be fine! I mean it does kind of suck you have to hold your breath for it to work, but I'm sure you'll pull through!" the turtwig gives the lizard a reassuring smile, even tho he know if he were to do it himself, he be very nervous
L: "I can handle it, it's only a minute..." The lizard takes some deep breaths to calm himself down, before he holds one and lays down, going entirely underwater. And, sure enough, as time passes, he begins turning into an anthro bird!
S: as the turtwig watches, his mouth drops open as he watches his lizard buddy start to transform into a bird "Omg..."
L: The whole transformation takes about a minute, as expected, and the lizard-turned-bird jumps a little, seemingly recognizing the exact moment his change is done. He sits up and exhales, looking himself over before letting out a happy chirp. "This is so cool, it actually worked!"
S: "Unbelievable.... your a bird! Your an actual bird! This is insane! How do you feel?" the turtwig looks over at the lizard-turned-bird in shock "How long do the effects last? It's not permanent is it?"
L: "I feel weird, like things inside me got moved around a little... But I like it! And the box for the bathbomb said it lasts for a day. I think there's a way to reverse it early as well, but I'm probably gonna let this run for the full time."
S: "Wow, a whole day huh? That's something else" the turtwig pauses for a moment before speaking again "You know, I'm wondering if that bathbomb water will work for pokemon too... and not just lizards and stuff"
L: "It might, I do remember seeing that it was designed to be compatible with anything that's not already a bird! Want to give it a shot? The water keeps the magic for a day too, it'll work again."
S: "Hmm... well while I am curious about it, I don't know if I can handle the one minute long breath hold...I don't exactly associate myself with swimming and stuff unlike you, and you should know that, heh..."
L: "Yeah, a minute is kind of a big ask for someone that hasn't had much practice in breath holding... What's your record again?"
S: "I think it's like 25 seconds, and that's only on dry land, let alone underwater..."
L: "Then a minute's gonna be pretty tough... Do you want to at least try? I'll do my best to help you with it."
S: the turtwig sighs, he contemplates on this for a while, until he speaks up again "Oh...alright, I'll try it this once but if I fail, I'm not gonna do it again..."

L: "Yep, just the one. Hopefully it works out, I want you to see what it's like! Plus, I'm wondering what kind of bird you'll become... Maybe a bird-like Pokemon?"
S: "That's a good point, I'm wondering if I'll become a bird pokemon, heh...oh boy, I'm so scared!" the turtwig looks down into the water very nervously
L: "It's going to be fine, even if you have to surface partway through the transformation. It'll just turn you back to normal really fast, you're not gonna be stuck as some kind of mutant!"
S: the turtwig couldn't help but giggle at that "Well I guess knowing that does make me feel a little better, still...I don't think I've ever even submerged underwater before"
L: "Well, this is at least a pretty good reason to get introduced to that! Just remember to hold your breath and stay as relaxed as you can. You might want to hold your nose as well, so you don't lose as many bubbles."
S: "Uhh, you see these stubby little legs? I don't think I'll be able to reach my nose...heh... hold your breath and stay calm, that's gonna be rough"
L: "Right, I'll hold your nose for you. Hopefully I'll still be able to do that while you're changing. Ready to try this out?"
S: "As much as I'm gonna freak out...yeah I guess I'm ready to try this out...oh boy"
L: "Okay, let's do this..." The bird helps the turtwig into the water. "Do some deep breathing like I did, it'll help you hold your breath longer."
S: because of the little turtwig's size, the bath is almost like a mini pool to them, he nods in response to what the bird said, taking in some deep breathes for both air and to calm himself down
L: "Just let me know when you're ready. I'll go under with you so you won't be alone in doing this."
S: the turtwig looks down at the water below, shaking up with fear as it threatened to consume him, he then looks up at the bird with the same fearful gaze
L: "You okay? You don't have to do this if you don't want to, I think I know how scary this must be for you..."
S: "I-i...I'm sorry... yeah, I'm really scared... this is getting rough...but I wanna try this, I'm gonna be tough...I wont let my fears own me!" after a short while he responds again "Alright, I'm ready!"
L: "Let's do this! One more deep breath!" The bird gasps and holds his breath before going underwater again.
S: after a brief hesitation, the turtwig then takes a final deep breath, holding it in before he closes his eyes and ducks down underwater too, sinking to the bottom and trying to stay still and relaxed
L: The bird pats the turtwig's head and smiles at them, watching them to make sure they'll be okay and to see what they're going to become.
S: bubbles escape his mouth and nose in a steady stream, whimpering them out as he was underwater for the first time
L: The bird quickly holds the turtwig's nose for them, having almost forgotten to do that, and he covers their mouth as well.
S: the turtwig relaxes a bit as his nose and mouth are covered, trying to keep his breath in, the transformation is slowly started to get on turtwig
L: Looking over the turtwig's body, the bird smiles and tries to guess what they're turning into.
S: 30 seconds in, the turtwig is definitely transforming by now, and it seems like he's gonna be turning into a Pidgey!
L: The bird gives the turtwig another couple pats, before brushing at their new feathers a little, watching more of them form.
S: finally, the turtwig-turned-pidgey was finally done on its transformation, but his face was deeply red, so he immediately goes up to breath and gasps heavily
L: The bird surfaces as well, catching his breath. "It worked on you too, you're a pidgey now! Look at yourself!"
S: "What?!" the pidgey then looks at a mirror that was in the bathroom, his mouth dropping open "Omg, i-i-im a pidgey?! Whoa..."
L: "And you look pretty good as one, too! How do your new feathers feel?" The bird gets out of the bath, starting to dry himself off.
L: "Yep, just the one. Hopefully it works out, I want you to see what it's like! Plus, I'm wondering
S: "They feel soft, it honestly feels kinds strange in a way... I'm always used to walking on 4 legs, now I only have two...it's odd, but I don't really mind too much, not sure if I wanna stay as a pidgey all day tho, but I'm gonna at least keep it for a few hours, you did say that you can reverse the transformation early right?"
L: "Yeah, it says on the box, one sec..." The bird checks the instructions on the box. "...Uh oh... It says that the only way to reverse it early is to stay submerged in the water for 4 minutes straight... That's almost double my record..."
S: the pidgey chirps in shock "4 minutes?!?!? Oh gosh...that's an insane time! No way I'm gonna be able to stay under for that long! Ugh, I don't wanna stay as a pidgey all day tho... well, we'll get to that later"
L: "Yep, that's a worry for later. Come on, let's go have fun as birds! Maybe we'll even be able to fly, but I don't feel like I know how."
S: "Considering your form, I don't know honestly... but because I'm a pidgey it should come natural that I can fly, let's go find out" the pidgey then heads outside the bird's house, gesturing for them to follow
L: The bird follows them outside. Once he's there, he gives a shot at flying, hopping up and down and flapping his arms to no avail. "...Yeah, apparently I'm a flightless bird. Oh well."
S: "Ouch, that sucks... lemme try now" the pidgey then spreads his new wings wide, and after flapping them a few times he manages to take flight into the air! "Looks like I can fly! And I was right it came pretty much naturally"
L: "Oh, cool! At least one of us can fly! Heh, think you'd be able to carry me? I mean, probably not, but still..."
S: "Heh probably not, but I can try at least" the pidgey goes down and grabs onto the bird's shoulders with their feet, then tries to flap their wings as fast as they can to get them up, but he can only managed maybe 2 feet off the ground before he gets tired and sets the bird back down "Nope, definitely can't carry you..."
L: "Yeah, figured. Still, it's awesome that you can fly! You should try out going high up!"
S: "Well, good thing I'm not scared of heights!" the pidgey then flaps their wings and ascends higher into the air, he stays in place after a bit to look down at the world below him "Wow...it's beautiful..."
L: The bird looks up to watch them, being too far away to talk now. It's clear he's fairly jealous of the pidgey.
S: the pidgey is starstruck at the sight, taking in the view for a bit longer before he makes his way back down to the bird "Dang I wish you could see the view, it's amazing!"
L: "So do I... Maybe if I do this again sometime it'll make me into a bird that can fly, and I can actually see it for myself!"
S: "Yeah maybe, who knows? Anyways, what should we do now? Can't really think of a whole lot we can do"
L: "Hm... I was planning on just hanging out and seeing how different being a bird would make things, myself... We could definitely just relax for a while."
S: "Yeah, just until I'm tired of being a pidgey and all"
L: "Alright, let's head back inside and find something to do." The bird heads back into his home.
S: "Okay!" the pidgey does too
some times passes as the two hang out together, until the pidgey seems to be bored and wants to go back to normal, having briefly forgotten about the requirement for it "Alright that was fun and all, but I kind of wanna go back to being a turtwig now"
L: "Maybe I ought to change back too, kinda miss being myself." The bird then remembers what has to be done to do that early. "...Right, it's not gonna be easy..."
S: "...oh no, I completely forgot... the breath hold for 4 minutes underwater, dang it..." the pidgey sighs heavily
L: "I really don't know if we'll be able to do that... At least we won't be stuck like this all that long if we can't do it."
S: "They feel soft, it honestly feels kinds strange in a way... I'm always used to walking on 4 legs
S: "Yeah, but I miss my turtwig self... we gotta at least try, even tho it might scare us... so wait, what is your breath hold record? You said this was almost double your record earlier"
L: "My record's about 2:15, yeah. This is REALLY gonna suck, for both of us... But yeah, we should try it at least once."
S: "Yikes, yeah I was struggling hard with one minute, but 4? That's gonna be even more rough...alright, let's get this over with" the pidgey then sighs again before making his way back to the tub where the bath bomb water was still there and waiting
L: The bird follows them over, nervous about how long he'll need to hold his breath. "Better start getting ready..." He starts deeply breathing as he gets into the water.
S: "Y-yeah..." the pidgey gets in the water as well, just as nervous and scared as he too starts to breathe deeply
L: "W-we should both go under at once again, we're gonna need all the support we can get for this."
S: "For both of our sakes, yeah your right...this is gonna be extremely rough on both of us, me especially"
L: "At least this isn't the only way to change back... But I really want this to work, I'm already kind of tired of being a bird..."
S: "Same here, I don't wanna be a pidgey anymore, I just gotta hope we can survive this transformation"
L: "It's really gonna come down to it... I-I think I'm ready if you are."
S: "I'm ready physically, but not mentally... this is really gonna be rough, ugh...let's just do this..."
L: "Better to just get it over with, yeah... 3, 2, 1..." The bird gets one last breath and goes under, trying to relax as much as he can.
S: the pidgey, while hesitant...takes a last deep breath and dives under as well, whimpering already as they try to stay calm
L: With the wait having begun, the bird holds the pidgey's nostrils and beak for them and closes his eyes. Tiny bubbles seep out from under his feathers for a few seconds before stopping.
S: the pidgey looks up at the bird for a moment, his face already flushing a little red before he closes his own eyes, trying to relax
L: Gradually over time, the bird begins feeling a need to breathe, but he does his best to ignore it, hugging the pidgey and feeling their feathers against his own.
S: about half the time goes by, the pidgey badly needing air as their face is deeply red, but he hugs the bird back, trying to ignore to it too
L: The bird's face is red as well, and his chest is heaving, but he keeps pushing himself. Before too much longer, his record is broken, though he doesn't know that.
S: the pidgey's record is far broken by now, he whimpers as his face turns blue now, hoping it won't be too much longer until the 4 minutes is here
L: Little whines of his own are starting to come from the bird, a slight blue tint beginning to form on his face as well. The two of them can feel a slight tingling forming on them, getting closer and closer to reverting to themselves.
S: as it gets closer, both of the bird and the pidgey start to slowly turn back to normal, the pidgey turning back into a turtwig and the bird turning back to a lizard, but the pidgey's face is purple now
L: Bubbles stream from the end of the bird's receding beak as it trembles, tiny muffled chirps of strain turning to grunts as he gets near to starting to drown...
S: the chirps from the pidgey soon turn into grunts of strain as well, he's also near drowning, however, their transformation is almost done! Just a little more
L: More and more bubbles are lost from the bird as he shivers all over... He accidentally sucks in a little bit of water, and while he manages to swallow it, it's clear he'd normally be pushing himself farther than he should at this point.
S: "Yeah, but I miss my turtwig self... we gotta at least try, even tho it might scare us... so wait
S: the pidgey sucks in a bit of water as well, swallowing it thankfully but shudders all over, soon tho, their transformation is finally complete! The Pidgey-turned-turtwig notices and feels his stubby legs back, knowing he's back to normal so he quickly gets the bird-now-lizard's attention and goes up to the surface just in time, gasping very heavily for breath
L: Just before he'd start to truly drown, the lizard bolts upright and desperately gasps, coughing a few times before panting heavily as his face slowly goes back to its normal colors.
S: the turtwig coughs as well, keeping himself afloat above the water, his own face returning to normal "Hah....hah....hah...jeez! We did it! We actually stayed under for a full 4 minutes! Jeez never doing that again tho, in fact...I never wanna go underwater again!"
L: "I-I definitely need some time... B-before I do any more diving... But, being a bird for a little while was fun, at least!"
S: "Yeah I suppose so, still I'm probably never gonna submerge underwater again, period! For now tho, I think I need a nap"
L: "Same here, I'm exhausted after that..." The lizard gets out of the water, helps the turtwig do the same, and drains the water.
S: the turtwig yawns, he's so tired that he just curls himself in a comfy place in the bathroom and goes to sleep just like that!
L: The lizard quietly chuckles a little at that. He gently dries them off as well as himself, then carries them to his bedroom and lays them down on his bed. After getting in next to them, he pets the turtwig a little before quickly falling asleep himself.
S: the pidgey sucks in a bit of water as well, swallowing it thankfully but shudders all over, soon
