What a nightmare! After reading up on his ship stats I can see that Shadow feels uncomfortable in his own skin around Sonic. Maybe feeling a bit unworthy and fearful that Sonic will second guess their relationship due to his imposing and strange form and simply walk away. It is heart-breaking. I look forward to more of this AU.
