So I'm sure by now a lot of people have seen the teaser animations for the Sonic x DC crossover series happening next year! I do enjoy the concepts they came up with. Shadow makes a good Batman, Sonic is an awesome Flash, and Knuckles is perfect for Superman!
That said, I do feel at the least, Shadow and Knuckles would be far, FAR better barefoot, with the pants ending in stirrups. Mainly because, assuming they end up in the world of DC, Gotham isn't gonna have nice long winding roads going everywhere for Shadow to build up momentum. If he's gonna be swinging around the rooftops, boi needs to ditch his shoes!
to sketch Shadow the Bathog, but barefoot. She also added eye-markings to his mask, which was the other thing throwing me off on his look.
I went in and added the details to his gloves, belt, kneepads, and adjusted the feet. Safe to say, this design works a LOT better. Next, onto Superman Knuckles!
