Sprunki Babies, Episode 43: "Miyu’s Inspection"
---
The Beat Box nursery was bustling with activity as the Sprunkis played with their favorite toys. Ripple was helping Wenda and Pinki with a new art project, while Danny and Gray set up a mini obstacle course for the others. Lorenzo sat by Mr. Tree, sipping tea and keeping a watchful eye on the group.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and in stepped Miyu, her white fur gleaming and her blue eyes sharp as ever. She wore a perfectly tailored blazer and carried a clipboard, her presence instantly drawing attention.
“Well, well,” Miyu said, her voice smooth and condescending. “It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”
The room grew quiet as Ripple stood to greet her, his expression calm but wary. “Miyu, what are you doing here?”
Miyu smiled, her fangs glinting. “Oh, don’t worry, darling. I’m just here for a little... inspection. After all, if I’m going to make a serious offer, I need to see what I’m dealing with.”
Danny crossed his arms, stepping forward. “The Beat Box isn’t for sale, Miyu. We’ve already told you that.”
“Yes, yes,” Miyu said dismissively, waving a paw. “But it doesn’t hurt to look, does it? Who knows? You might change your mind.”
---
Miyu began her tour, clipboard in hand, jotting down notes as she went. Her piercing gaze lingered on the art supplies scattered across the tables and the toys strewn about the floor.
“What a mess,” she muttered. “Hardly professional.”
The Sprunkis watched from a corner, whispering among themselves. “Why is she back?” Skye asked nervously.
“She’s probably trying to find something wrong with the nursery,” Pinki said, frowning.
Durple growled softly. “If she says one bad thing about my treasure hoard, she’s going to regret it.”
---
Miyu moved to the play area, where Gray was drumming on his toy drum set. She raised an eyebrow. “Noisy,” she said, making a note on her clipboard. “Disruptive.”
Gray’s face fell, but Danny quickly crouched down beside him. “Don’t let her get to you, buddy. Your music makes this place come alive.”
Next, Miyu approached Wenda, who was working on a painting. She watched silently for a moment before speaking. “Hmm. Charming, I suppose, but hardly groundbreaking.”
Wenda looked up, her expression unsure. “Do you not like it?”
Ripple stepped in. “Don’t pay any attention to her, Wenda. Your art is wonderful.”
---
Miyu continued her inspection, her comments growing sharper as she went. She criticized the organization of the nursery, the choice of activities, and even the décor, claiming it was “outdated and uninspired.”
Finally, she turned her attention to Lorenzo, who stood calmly with his arms crossed. Her tone softened, and she gave him an approving smile. “You, however, are a different story. Strong, dependable, and clearly the only one here with a sense of purpose. You’re... salvageable.”
The room fell silent, her words cutting through the air like a blade. Ripple’s jaw tightened, and Danny clenched his fists.
Lorenzo, unfazed, met her gaze head-on. “I’m part of a team,” he said firmly. “Everything we do here, we do together. And I’m not interested in anything you’re offering.”
Miyu’s smile faltered, but she quickly recovered. “Oh, Lorenzo, darling. You could do so much better than this... chaos.” She gestured dismissively to the nursery. “Why waste your talents here?”
---
The Sprunkis, who had been eavesdropping from the corner, couldn’t stay silent any longer. Wenda stepped forward, her voice shaking but determined. “The nursery isn’t chaos! It’s our home!”
“Yeah!” Gray added. “And Lorenzo’s part of it. He’s not going anywhere.”
Durple puffed out his chest. “If you don’t like it here, you can leave.”
Pinki crossed her arms. “You don’t belong here, Miyu.”
Miyu blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the Sprunkis’ defiance. “Well,” she said, her voice cool, “it seems I’ve overstayed my welcome. For now.”
She turned to Lorenzo one last time. “Think about what I said, darling. You’re better than this.”
With that, she walked out, her tail swishing behind her.
---
Once the door closed, the room fell silent. Ripple sighed, rubbing his temples. “Well, that was... something.”
Danny knelt down to the Sprunkis, his voice gentle. “You all did great standing up for the nursery. Don’t let anything she said get to you.”
Lorenzo smiled at the group. “I’m proud of you all. And don’t worry—no one’s going to take this place away.”
Mr. Tree’s voice rumbled from the center of the nursery. “Unity is our strength. As long as we stand together, no one can uproot us.”
The Sprunkis huddled together, their spirits lifted. They knew that no matter what, their home was worth fighting for. And with Lorenzo, Ripple, Danny, Bianca, and even Mr. Tree by their side, they felt unstoppable.
But deep down, they all knew that Miyu wasn’t done yet. This was only the beginning.
