Sprunki Babies, Episode 40: "Lorenzo Returns"
---
The Beat Box nursery was buzzing with excitement as the Sprunkis gathered in the play area. Ripple stood by Mr. Tree, clapping his hands to grab everyone’s attention.
“Alright, Sprunkis, I have a surprise for you today,” Ripple announced, a grin spreading across his face. “Someone special is coming back to join us.”
“Is it another dragon?” Durple asked, puffing his chest. “Because I don’t need a rival.”
“Is it Funbot’s twin?” Gray added, tapping his drumsticks together.
Ripple chuckled. “No, but it’s someone you’ve missed a lot. Let’s give a warm welcome to... Lorenzo!”
The door to the nursery opened, and Lorenzo walked in, his usual confident smile lighting up the room. He was dressed in his signature green pants, hands resting on his hips as he greeted the group.
“Mmm... I’ve missed this place,” Lorenzo said warmly. “How’s everyone doing?”
The Sprunkis rushed to greet him, their voices overlapping with excitement.
“Lorenzo!” Pinki shouted, leaping up to hug him.
“We’ve been so busy!” Wenda added, grabbing his hand. “You have no idea how much has happened!”
“Tell me everything,” Lorenzo said with a laugh, sitting down on the colorful mat. “But first, how about a group hug?”
The Sprunkis eagerly piled on, with even Durple joining in, albeit hesitantly. “Alright, but just this once,” the dragon muttered.
“You’ve been missed,” Ripple said, leaning against Mr. Tree. “The nursery isn’t the same without you.”
As the day went on, Lorenzo eased back into his role, helping the Sprunkis with their activities. He worked with Wenda and Pinki on a puzzle, drummed a quick beat with Gray, and even joined Skye in flying planes around the nursery.
Bianca peeked in from the kitchen, a tray of snacks in her hands. “It’s good to have you back, Lorenzo,” she said with a smile.
“It’s good to be back,” Lorenzo replied. “The Beat Box always feels like home.”
Later in the afternoon, Ripple gathered everyone together. “Now that Lorenzo is back, we have a lot to look forward to. We’re going to make this nursery better than ever.”
“What’s better than awesome?” Skye asked, twirling his plane.
“You’ll see,” Ripple said mysteriously.
Lorenzo knelt down to meet the Sprunkis’ curious gazes. “I’m here full-time now, so if you ever need help—or just want someone to play with—you’ve got me.”
Durple folded his arms. “Does that mean you’ll help protect my treasure hoard?”
Lorenzo laughed. “Only if you promise to share it.”
“Deal,” Durple said, shaking his hand.
As the day wound down, Mr. Tree’s deep voice filled the nursery. “The Beat Box is a special place, not because of its walls, but because of the people who fill it. Lorenzo’s return strengthens the roots of this home.”
Ripple nodded. “Couldn’t have said it better myself.”
The Sprunkis went to bed that night with smiles on their faces, knowing their family was complete once again. Lorenzo’s return wasn’t just the return of a caretaker—it was the return of a friend who made the Beat Box nursery feel like home.
