Sprunki Babies, Episode 35: "Remembering Funbot"
---
The Beat Box nursery felt unusually quiet. The laughter and beeping sounds of Funbot, their robotic friend, were absent, leaving an empty spot in the Sprunkis’ hearts. Ripple noticed the subdued mood as the Sprunkis played half-heartedly with their toys.
“Hey, everyone,” Ripple said gently, kneeling down to join them. “You seem a little down today. Is everything okay?”
Gray looked up, his drumsticks resting idly in his hands. “It’s weird without Funbot. I keep thinking he’s going to roll in and start a game.”
Pinki nodded, clutching her crayons. “I miss his jokes and his smiley face. It’s too quiet now.”
Ripple shared a knowing glance with Danny, who stepped forward. “It’s okay to miss Funbot,” Danny said softly. “He was a special friend, and he made a big difference here. But even though he’s not with us anymore, we still have the memories we made with him.”
---
Ripple stood up with a smile. “How about we spend today celebrating Funbot? We can honor all the fun he brought to the Beat Box by creating something special.”
The Sprunkis perked up slightly. “Like what?” Wenda asked, tilting her head.
“Well,” Ripple said thoughtfully, “we could use the scrapbook you all started and add even more to it. Or maybe we could come up with a new game inspired by Funbot.”
Pinki raised her hand excitedly. “Let’s finish the scrapbook first! I have more drawings to add.”
Gray grinned. “And then we can make up a Funbot Freeze Dance game!”
The Sprunkis, feeling a renewed sense of purpose, got to work.
---
Bianca brought out a fresh stack of paper, markers, and stickers for the scrapbook. The Sprunkis gathered around, each adding their own touch. Pinki drew a colorful picture of Funbot leading Simon Says, while Skye added a drawing of Funbot telling his favorite robot jokes.
Wenda carefully glued a photo of Funbot and the Sprunkis together, writing underneath it: *Best Friend Ever.* Durple, who often acted tough, quietly added a drawing of Funbot giving a high-five, his face soft with nostalgia.
As they worked, Ripple and Danny shared stories about Funbot. “Remember the time Funbot tried to play hide-and-seek but kept beeping too loudly?” Ripple said, chuckling.
“And he still won!” Gray added with a laugh. “We could hear him, but his hiding spots were so good!”
---
Once the scrapbook was finished, the Sprunkis gathered in a circle. Ripple held it up. “This is a beautiful way to remember Funbot. You’ve all captured how much joy he brought to the nursery.”
The Sprunkis smiled, feeling a sense of accomplishment. “Can we read it whenever we want?” Skye asked.
“Of course,” Ripple replied. “It’s here to remind us that even though Funbot isn’t here, the memories we made will always stay with us.”
---
Next, the Sprunkis decided to create a new game inspired by Funbot. Gray suggested combining Freeze Dance with Simon Says, calling it “Freeze Simon!” The rules were simple: Ripple or Danny would give commands like Simon Says, but they’d also shout “Freeze!” to catch the Sprunkis off guard.
The game quickly became a hit. The nursery was filled with laughter as the Sprunkis froze in silly poses and tried to keep up with Ripple’s tricky commands.
“You’re out, Wenda!” Danny teased as she waved her arms without hearing “Simon Says.” Wenda giggled and plopped onto the floor to watch the others.
---
By the end of the day, the nursery felt alive with joy again. The Sprunkis gathered around Ripple and Danny, their smiles wide.
“Funbot would’ve loved this game,” Gray said, still holding his drumsticks.
Ripple nodded. “And I think he’d be proud to see how you’ve all found ways to keep his spirit alive.”
Danny added, “Funbot may not be here, but you’ve shown that the fun he brought to the nursery didn’t leave with him. It’s still here, in all of you.”
---
As the Sprunkis settled in for bedtime, Ripple placed the scrapbook in a special spot where everyone could see it. “Goodnight, Funbot,” Pinki whispered, looking at the photo of their robotic friend.
The nursery lights dimmed, and the Sprunkis drifted off to sleep, dreaming of Funbot and the happiness he had brought to their lives. They knew that while he was no longer a part of their daily adventures, he would always hold a special place in their hearts.
