Ayres sits upon their throne, looking down upon their two kobolds with an amused smile. Both Thai and Akko are excitedly astir, running back and forth doing various errands for Ayres. The kobolds occasionally run into each other, leading to a cacophony of disoriented yips, before continuing on with their respective tasks.
The dragon can’t help but sigh at the sight of the two. Their unwavering loyalty is adorable, they truly do admire their dragon and would obey them without question. Though, their… efficiency could use some work. Especially recently, the two kobolds have been quite rowdy. And, while Ayres wouldn’t need to do so, it’s always fun to flex their absolute control over them. So, the dragon gets up from their throne, and walks over to the center of the room before summoning the two kobolds.
Thai and Akko both rush over to the dragon, standing side to side with a big grin on their faces. While standing there, the two kobolds continue to yip at each other, glancing over at Ayres in the middle of their incomprehensible yippy sentences, and giggling uncontrollably. The two are clearly enjoying themselves, and Ayres can’t help but wonder what’s going on.
“What’s so funny, you two?” Ayres asks, curious about what they’re yipping about.
Akko’s eyes sparkle mischievously, glancing over at Thai one more time. “Don’t worry about it, Great Ayres!” he responds.
Ayres blinks, suppressing the urge to roll their eyes. Guess it’s gonna be one of those days. They know that they could very easily make the Kobold voluntarily spill the beans, they are very easy to convince, after all. But who’s to say that the dragon can’t have a little fun with it?
“Little Kobold, what was that?”
The second those words roll off of their tongue, Akko’s eyes jump wide open. His eyes flash green and gold for a second, the colours washing away his yellow sclera and the brown slit irises. His expression goes from a mischievous smirk to a neutral, relaxed stare.
Before he can consciously think about it, he answers “We’re being rebellious to mess with you”. The kobold’s voice is slow and monotone as he talks, almost as if he’s hesitant to respond. Having said that, the kobold’s eyes return to normal and he buries his snout in his paws, embarrassed by his confession. His tail is swishing quietly back and forth, dragging over the floor, and a deep red blush appears on the Kobold’s snout.
“Is that so, hm?” Ayres says with a grin as they approach Akko. As they stand upright, they tower above the tiny seafoam-green kobold, who in turn looks up at the anthropomorphic dragon with puppy eyes as a last-ditch effort to escape the inevitable.
The dragon, of course, is immune to such nonsense. They move the tip of their tail underneath the chin of the kobold, forcing him to look up at them. Immediately, Akko can feel his mind melting out of his body as his brain is bombarded with the mental image of a spiral spreading across his vision. The kobold comes undone under the grip of their tail, his knees going weak and expression going blank again; the effect visibly being more potent this time.
Ayres sees the effect of their conditioning take hold of their kobold’s mind, and their smirk grows as they lean down to get face to face with him.
“That’s a good kobold. No more thoughts of rebellion… or anything, for that matter, hmm? What’s that spiral looking like?” Ayres says with a smirk, keeping the kobold utterly entranced with their tail underneath his chin.
“Green… and gold… great Ayres… I’m a… good kobold for you…” Akko weakly mumbles before slumping forward onto his knees the second Ayres releases their tail from his chin. The kobold continues to silently whisper the colors of the spiral in his head, and while he does so, Ayres turns to the other kobold who was silently witnessing his buddy getting his brain utterly broken.
As they approach Thai, he nervously chuckles at the dragon drawing near. Their wings are widely spread out and their tail is swishing behind them excitedly. There’s an almost evil glint in their eyes, one that oozes confidence and imminent victory. Meanwhile, Thai can’t keep his eyes off of Akko’s mindlessly drooling body.
“What’s wrong, sweetie? Want to join your boyfriend in that nice, sleepy trance, hmm?” They say tauntingly. “That’s okay. I’ve got something fun that might help with that.”
Thai looks up at Ayres as they stand in front of him, spreading their claws apart to summon a swirling ball of energy. The orb sparks and crackles, once again displaying shades of green and gold spiraling in unison, drawing the kobold’s attention to the very center. The colors reflect in his eyes and he can’t help but stare in fascination.
Ayres’ expression, on the other hand, is one of focus and excitement. Maybe this spell will help their two kobolds be less rowdy… more obedient… nice and zonked. The way that things should be. Two swirly kobold servants. Of course they’re always obedient, but it’s fun to have them under hypnosis too. Just to show off their strength.
So, once the spell is fully formed, they try to release the ball from between their paws, aiming it directly at Thai’s forehead. The kobold watches as the spiraling orb doesn’t flutter towards them, but instead, flies directly at Ayres’ own head, hitting them right between the eyes.
He watches as their eyes go glassy combined by an emotionless “uh…”, and their arms limply sink back down their body. They blankly stare into the background, and their confident smirk turns into a more wobbly, foggy smile.
Hesitantly, Thai looks at the dragon, unsure of how to act. They wave their paw in front of the dragon’s eyes, hoping for some sort of response. The dragon follows the wave closely with their gaze, but don’t respond.
“Are you okay, Great Ayres...?” he hesitantly asks, only for the dragon to immediately respond with “sleepy…”
Thai looks over to Akko. The other kobold is still kneeling, his eyes half-lidded and drool dribbling down his snout. The gray-and-beige kobold snaps his fingerclaw, and immediately Akko snaps back to reality and shakes his head in confusion.
“Ah…? Hi cutie!” Akko says, looking lovingly at the other kobold. “What’s up?”
In response, Thai just points at Ayres, who is still standing limply in the center.
“They zonked themselves,” he says, unable to hide a chuckle. His eyes are eagerly sparkling, and the mischief returns to both of their expressions. The both of them walk towards their dragon, guiding them to sit back down upon their throne, and once they’re seated, the two kobolds can’t help but let their grabby paws start worshipping the dragon’s body.
Akko immediately moves behind the throne, letting his fingerclaws trace across the edge of the dragon’s wings atop their shoulder blades, very carefully expanding the left wing to full length. Once it’s fully extended, the kobold can’t help but knead and rub his paws in circular motions across the full wing’s length. They put a little extra pressure into the knots, kneading them out as they stare at the dragon in awe. He takes a little extra care once he reaches the membrane, still making sure to properly get every scale, every knuckle, every claw. After all, they deserve to get pampered – especially when they’re already in a nice, floaty trance.
Thai, in the meantime, has already started working at the dragon’s tail, starting at the very base of their spine and working their way down. They push and pull at the scales and muscle, almost like they’re trying to unplug it, his paws eventually gathering at the tip of their tail – guided by the noises of enjoyment and bliss coming from their dragon.
The two kobolds continue to take care of their dragon, making sure to keep a close eye on them to ensure that they’re still hypnotized. It doesn’t take long for them to get lost in their worship, fully hyperfixated on pleasing their dragon, giving them a well-deserved spa day. Every now and then, Ayres looks at the two kobolds, struggling to contain their smile. Obviously, they’re too busy – and silly – to notice that their spell didn’t actually do anything. But it’s nice to know that Ayres can rely on their kobolds to take good care of them no matter what.
