Sprunki Babies, Episode 15: "The Playdate Mix-Up"
---
The Beat Box nursery was buzzing with excitement. Ripple and Danny had just announced a special playdate for the day. Oren, one of Pinki’s friends, was visiting, and everyone was eager to meet him. Pinki especially couldn’t wait to introduce her friend to everyone, planning to spend the day showing him around the nursery.
When Oren arrived, a cheerful orange-colored Sprunki with a big, friendly smile, headphones over his ears, and small antennae sticking up from his head, Pinki rushed over, giving him a hug. “Oren! I’m so glad you’re here!”
Oren smiled back, his eyes twinkling with excitement. “Hi, Pinki! I’m excited to play!”
Just as Pinki was about to lead Oren to the play area, Wenda, Gray, and Skye appeared beside them, their eyes bright with curiosity.
“Hey, Oren!” Skye said with a grin. “Want to play a game with us?”
Pinki’s eyes widened in surprise. “Um, but he’s here to play with me!”
Oren, wanting to be friendly, smiled at Wenda, Gray, and Skye. “Sure, I’d love to play!”
Pinki watched as Oren got pulled into a game of hide-and-seek with Wenda, Gray, and Skye, her excitement fading. She had been looking forward to having Oren all to herself, and now her friends were taking up his attention.
---
As the game went on, Pinki’s frustration grew. She tried to join in, but every time she found Oren, Wenda or Skye would quickly pull him away to hide somewhere else. Gray was showing Oren new toys, and Wenda was making silly faces, making Oren laugh. It seemed like everyone was having fun—except Pinki.
Finally, unable to hold back her frustration, Pinki stomped her foot, crossing her arms. “He was supposed to play with me!” she said, her voice a little louder than usual.
Ripple noticed Pinki’s upset expression and knelt down beside her. “Pinki, is everything alright?”
Pinki scowled, her face red with frustration. “No! Oren was supposed to play with me, but they keep taking him!”
Ripple gave her a gentle nod. “I understand you’re feeling left out. Sometimes friends get excited and want to share the fun. But getting angry won’t help.”
Pinki pouted, still upset. Danny, noticing the situation, gently placed a hand on her shoulder. “Let’s take a little break in the Alone Room, Pinki. It’s a good place to calm down when things feel too big.”
---
Reluctantly, Pinki allowed herself to be guided to the Alone Room. Inside, the soft lighting and cozy cushions helped her start to relax. She took a few deep breaths, feeling her anger slowly start to fade. The quiet room reminded her that she could find a moment of peace, even when things weren’t going her way.
After a few minutes, Ripple joined her in the Alone Room, sitting down beside her. “How are you feeling, Pinki?” he asked gently.
Pinki sighed, looking down. “I just wanted to spend time with Oren. He’s my friend, and I was excited to show him around.”
Ripple nodded, understanding her feelings. “It’s okay to feel disappointed. But remember, Oren came to meet everyone, and he didn’t mean to leave you out. Friends are about sharing the fun.”
Pinki thought about this, realizing that Oren wasn’t trying to hurt her feelings—he was just excited to meet new friends.
---
After calming down, Pinki left the Alone Room and joined the others, who were now playing a game of “Duck, Duck, Goose.” Ripple gave her an encouraging nod, and she joined in with a smile, happy to be part of the fun again.
When it was her turn, Oren made sure to sit beside her, giving her a friendly smile. “Thanks for letting me meet everyone, Pinki. You have great friends!”
Pinki’s smile returned, feeling happy and included once more. The playdate continued with laughter, and this time, everyone played together, sharing the fun and making new memories.
As the day came to an end, Pinki learned that sometimes sharing friends made the day even better. With Ripple and Danny’s guidance, she felt proud for handling her feelings and enjoying the playdate with all her friends by her side.
