I figured Spooktober was a fitting time of year to finally get a picture of myself as a bat to show them some appreciation. It's hard to appreciate just how astonishingly fast and agile they are until you see one in person, zipping and swooshing about under a street light so fast they're just a blur.
Mind you, I reckon I might not be the most aerodynamic example of batkind, though I'll wager that at all of 4ft in height (ears excluded) I can flutter at least as well as a chicken when I need to! I made sure to specify ears big enough to make a fennec do a double take. I also considered including cute glasses, but it turns out that even bats that echolocate have perfectly serviceable vision to compliment their echolocation and hearing.
