Nat O Bad The Insolent Tank Engine is tasked by The New Strict Controller, Caitlin Lucy Cat, to shunt some Terrible Trucks to get ready for Krauss The German Diesel Locomotive but Nat O Bad being an idiot for the umpteenth time pretends to listen but he never listens. The Terrible Trucks know about Nat O Bad getting into trouble, and they mock him by repeating what he said. Nat O Bad is furious before his crew can react, he lurches forward, shoves the trucks into the buffers and deliberately derails them; which also delays Krauss's freight schedule. Unfortunately for Nat O Bad, The New Strict Controller have heard about the crash.

The New Strict Controller is furious. She tells Nat O Bad off and sentences him to the sheds to think about what he has done. But Nat O Bad still doesn't care and likes having to do no work at all. What Nat O Bad does not account for is that The New Strict Controller is thinking of some punishments to make Nat O Bad be useful at last.
