Day 2 of CuteGirlTober turned fashion study challenge: Punk
So I knew there were a few different types of punk. I ... don't think I realized just how many, haha. So tried to go with a classic, 70's style punk though I did add in a bit of modern punk. And a hint of glam punk, as a treat. Lol!
I love the DIY aspect of punk (specifically classic punk) so I tried to bring that out with a DIY tank top. But also used the "reuse" mentality with the torn jeans and even a tear to the jacket. I know patches are common these days, but I tried to limit it to just two. And while I was gonna go with boots, I ended up going more for sneakers in the end.
She's based off a Mexican Hairless dog. Which, fun fact I found out, there are furred versions of those dogs. That's weird, haha. But yeah, as it's possible for the hairless ones to have bits of hair including a mohawk, obvious choice. Plus, I personally find it amusing to draw a non-furry furry for punk, seemed in the spirit of it.
And in case anyone is confused, that is a chick. A thin one, with a more ambiguous gender expression. Partly because that was a part of glam rock, but also that seems a bit in the punk spirit where our culture is trying so hard to segregate gender and gender expression.
