The bell rang and the students made the usual ruckus as they fled away from the classroom, happily talking about what to do for the afternoon. Everyone except a concerned fox still taking notes. He didn't notice the professor approaching his desk, sighing over his head.
"Damien, you don't have extra credit today, you don't need to stay," the well-dressed sheep said, looking at the fox with a calm smile on his face.
"I know, professor, but my grades have been slipping and I thought..." Damien replied, his voice sounding a bit tired, "I need to improve your course or else it will be harder as the year goes on." he stated. The ram nodded at him, understanding his situation.
"I get you, you want to keep up with everything, but the classes are overwhelming you a bit. You can continue this course later, you know? It's one of the optional ones," he reasoned, but saw the scandalized expression on the fox, getting him to chuckle, "but it is a very good way to improve general grades, I know. Tell you what, are you free for the next hour?" he asked the student, the eyes of the young fox showing happiness at those words.
"Y-Yes, I am! I know you are busy, but if you can give me a refresher it would be extremely helpful. Thank you, Professor!" he replied, getting the teacher to nod with a knowing smile.
"We should try to make most of the hour then. Let's start with something easy and go from there. Sounds good?" he asked his student, getting a nod, "Excellent. In that case, let's start with social cues. Do you remember one of the most basic but respectful gestures one can do for a naga?"
"Of course! It's looking at the eyes when talking to a person in a position of importance or respected by the community!" he quickly replied, browsing his notes. The ram nodded at that.
"Very good. Let's practice that for the next question. No peeking at the notes!" he playfully said as the fox just chuckled a bit and looked at his teacher's eyes... and found himself suddenly entranced by them.
"Alright Damien, can you relax for me? Just look at my eyes and listen to the sound of my voice," he softly commanded, making the fox relax as soon as the words entered his mind. The poor student was so stressed and tired that the hypnotic command went right though him. The professor sighed a bit, concerned for his student, "You are at your limit, aren't you kid? Let's give you a leg up and see if this helps. Damien, nod if you understand my words. Are you relaxed?" the fox nodded slowly, his eyelids slightly down as he was lost in the hypnosis, "Excellent, now listen to what I have to say. You will remember everything I'll say and read to you, do you understand?" the student nodded, "You will understand what I'll read you and feel accomplished by studying a hard subject," Damien nodded again, a slight smile showing on his face, "And lastly, you will eat and rest properly, do you understand?" the helpless student nodded again. The professor nodded with satisfaction, and suddenly his hypnotic power pushed strongly against Damien, making him open his eyes wide and sit stiffly on his chair, "Now then, class is in session and you will remember what I say! Let's start with the Rise of the Empire. At the very beginning the nagas were nomads that resided over this area of the coast. The were comprised of-"
The professor dutifully explained all the course in a fast, concise and precise way to the hypnotized student. The fox absorbed everything completely as if he had eidetic memory, learning little factoids, dates and even specific data as if they were mere bullet points. As the hour went on he felt very satisfied and happy with himself, just as the professor commanded. He was completely out of it, and in the lecture at the same time, his mind clouded by the hypnotic ability of the mysterious professor.
Suddenly, a clap startled him, making him focus once again on his professor. It was like a dream, or a nap... but he was able to remember absolute everything. He was... blinking in confusion.
"You got all of that?" the professor asked, his odd fanged smile adorning his face as if he was privy to a joke he was missing.
"I... I do? Professor, what happened?" Damien asked, a bit lost but also full of what should be the whole year of the course running in his head.
"A personal class is what happened, Damien. Now how about you grab yourself a bite and relax for the rest of the day?" he said, and the fox felt like it was an excellent suggestion.
"You know teach? You aren't half bad. I don't know why some students are a bit wary of you," he happily stated as he stored his pen and notebooks, ready to depart. The sheep just chuckled a bit.
"Only the bad ones should be wary. You are fine, kid. Go rest now, you earned it," the professor said, dismissing him for the day.
And the andean fox believed him. He was ready to tackle the other coursework right now. He was ready! He was energized... but something in the back of his mind carefully pushed that thought of his train of thought, and reminded him that a good rest and eating well would go a long way to keep with his grades.
That didn't feel quite right. Time to rest? Nevertheless, there was a burger with his name over the cafeteria, and a bed that was singing a siren song about taking a good night of sleep! ----------------------

We all seen hypnosis used for nefarious purposes and lewd situations... but what about just plain, wholesome ones? Well, here's one I hope you all like! 💛
