I've heard of a really gross alternative for anyone who had lost all their teeth, and they are not financially able to get dentures. Poverty stricken and hardly scraping by from paycheck to paycheck. The rest of the family also poverty stricken, and can't afford to help pay for dentures. No dental insurance. No money for dentures, and certainly the cost of implants are beyond financial means.
This only alternative left to such an unfortunate person is so gross, I almost vomit just thinking about it. It certainly makes anyone cringe. This would be a nightmare at the dinner table. And believe it or not, it's been in practice for those with no teeth since the middle ages.
That gross only alternative to anyone who had lost all their teeth and the cost of dentures is way beyond their means is... ...At the dinner table, a family member chews up the food for the family member with no teeth, then spits it out onto that family member's plate. The plate is then passed back to the family member with no teeth or dentures to slurp up the pre-chewed food with a spoon and swallow it. The poor soul in that predicament knowing that meal after meal has to be eaten that way.
That is only one of the many reasons why anyone should want to be prosperous and living in a good economy, instead of being poverty stricken and barely scraping by where inflation and unemployment runs rampant.
