Cream's Embarrassing School Day
(A Sonic parody of Chicken Little)
Cream was in her bedroom, getting ready for school. Her dark blue pjs with sky blue polka dots were lying by her bedside. She was wearing a red orange dress with a blue tie along with white gloves, white socks and orange and white sneakers. Cream was sitting on a nearby chair, tying her shoelaces when she heard a knock on the door.
Cream: Come in.
The door opens and there stood Vanilla, Cream's mother. She was wearing a lavender dress with a pink blouse and red violet vest. She was also wearing white gloves, white socks and red violet heels.
Vanilla: Morning, Cream. Are you ready to go yet?
Cream: Just finished.
Vanilla: Okay. Well, I got your backpack ready.
Cream: Thanks.
(Cream sits up and brushes off her dress)
Cream: Looks like I'm ready to go.
Vanilla: You better hurry, Cream. The bus will be here any minute.
Cream: You don't have to tell me more than once.
Cream heads downstairs and sees a SpongeBob backpack sitting by the front door. She grabs it and throws it over her shoulders. Suddenly, a note falls out of one of the pockets. Curious, Cream picks it up and reads it.
Note: Today is a new day, Cream. So, don't get nervous at school. But just in case... *She turns the note over* I packed you an extra pair of clean undies. With love~ Your mother, Vanilla. ;)
(Cream's face turned red, but smiles before putting the note in her pocket)
Cream: See you later, mom!
(She opens the door and runs off)
Cream ran down the road, looking for the bus stop. As she ran, there was a small gust of wind underneath her dress. Luckily, it didn't make her dress rise up, nor did she notice as she was still running. Eventually, she reaches the bus stop, but before she could even reach the bus itself, the door closes and drives off. Cream tries calling out to the bus as it drove away, but to no avail.
Cream: Well, that's just great. Looks like I'll have to walk.
(Cream tugs on one of the straps of her backpack)
Cream: Remember what mom said. Today is a new day.
Cream starts running down the road. She passed by some mobians who were going about their days. She quickly slid underneath a couple of guys moving some wood, jumped over some trash cans and even jumped over a few fences. She gives a sigh of relief as she keeps running.
Cream: Good thing I studied some of the routes around the neighborhood. Who would've thought there would be a few shortcuts around town?
Cream jumps over a picket fence when all of the sudden, her backpack gets caught. She looks back to see her bag caught on the fence. Not wanting to damage it, Cream slipped out of her backpack before she undid the straps of her bag from the fence. She starts checking to see if it was damaged. Fortunately, it was fine.
Cream: Lucky thing that wasn't my dress.
(Cream then throws it over her shoulder before dusting off her dress with both hands)
Cream: I got to keep moving. The school isn't too far ahead.
Cream gets ready to run, but before she took off, she suddenly realized something. Cream could just use her ears to fly to school and save some time. She then slaps herself on the forehead when she realized this.
Cream: Wait a minute... what am I doing? I'll just fly to school.
(Cream flaps her ears and flew off)
Cream flew through town. She looks to see a lot of mobians passing by. Some were driving or walking through town, others were working hard with their jobs or businesses. She could see the school just a few blocks away and noticing that her ears were getting tired, she decided to land and continue on foot. Cream lands next to a traffic light.
Cream: Looks like I saved some time flying the rest of the way here. Good thing, too. My ears were starting to get tired.
Cream walks up to the crosswalk sign. She hits the button, signaling the crosswalk sign that it's okay to cross the street. After the crosswalk signal said it was okay to cross the street, Cream starts running, almost at the school. But a few seconds after she crossed the street, her shoelaces came untied, and she tripped in the middle of teh crosswalk. Cream stood up, shaking her head.
Cream: What was that?
(Cream noticed her shoes were untied and tries to fix them)
Cream: Got to remember to check my shoes when they start coming loose.
Cream stood up. However, something was stuck on her dress. Cream looks behind her and to her surprise, she realized she sat on a piece of gum. It was stuck on the back of her dress. Creams tries to pull it off her dress, but no luck.
Cream: Oh, give me a break.
Cream tries to get up, struggling to get the gum off of her only to get pulled down by it. Suddenly, the crosswalk signal changed. Cream looks back with fear in her eyes.
Cream: Uh oh.
Cream looks to see some cars coming towards her. Panicked, she checks her pockets, looking for something that can help her. Suddenly, she found a carrot shaped lollipop in her pocket. Seeing this gave her an idea.
Cream: Just what I needed.
(She takes the lollipop out of its wrapper)
Cream placed the carrot lollipop in her mouth. As she licks it, she took off her SpongeBob backpack and throws it towards some nearby bushes, not wanting to lose it. She then undid her tie before tying one end to the lollipop stick. After a few seconds, Cream thought the lollipop was sticky enough and took it out of her mouth. She then turns to the cars heading towards her.
Cream: Just got to time this right...
Cream ducks as one car came in front of her. She then throws the lollipop, hitting and sticking onto the bumper of the car. Cream then grips her tie with both hands as the car keeps driving away. Suddenly, Cream broke free from the gum and was flying towards a tree and the bushes where her backpack is. Cream lands on her feet, holding her tie with one hand although the lollipop that was attached to it was gone.
(Cream jumps in the air)
Cream: Alright! I'm free!
However, when Cream landed on her feet, she didn't realize that something was wrong.
Cream: Wait a minute...
Cream looks down and her eyes went wide. Although Cream was freed from the gum, she lost her dress. She was wearing Bluey panties with her name on the waistband. She was also wearing a matching undershirt. Blushing madly at the sight of her underwear, she quickly hid behind the tree, hoping no one saw her.
Cream: Good thing my mom isn't here to see me like this.
Cream peeks behind the tree, frantically looking for her dress. She spots it, still attached to the gum. Seeing that no one else noticed her current situation, she sneaks towards the street, but before she could even grab her dress, a passing truck rolled over the gum. Unfortunately, Cream's dress was still attached to the gum, so it got stuck on one of the truck's wheels. Cream watched as the truck drove away, taking Cream's dress with it.
Cream: Well, that's just great.
Sighing, Cream knew there was nothing she could do now. She couldn't head back home because she didn't want to run late for school or have Vanilla see her in her underwear. Running down the streets was out of the question, and she couldn't risk flying without being seen. She turned to see that she wasn't too far from the school, but she didn't want anyone seeing her without her dress. Knowing that she didn't have any other options, Cream grabs her SpongeBob backpack and threw it over her shoulders before looking down at her Bluey underwear, seeing her name sewn into the waistband.
Cream: Had to wear Bluey undies today.
(She runs off)
Cream ran towards the school, hoping no one will see her in her underwear. Luckily, there were a lot of bushes and some trees leading towards the school which provided the perfect cover. Cream noticed some of the students were walking towards the school, unaware of the rabbit girl's predicament. Cream peeks over a bush, seeing the bus from earlier arrived at the entrance of the school. All of the kids that were onboard were already at the entrance.
Cream: I should've known. A lot of kids are at the entrance. No way am I sneaking in that way without anyone seeing me in my Bluey undies. Better find another way inside.
Cream then remembers that the school has a back entrance. Thinking it may be her only chance; she ran off to the back of the school. Luckily, none of the other kids saw her sneaking through the bushes. Before long, Cream reached the back entrance of the school. She walked up to the door, gripping one of the straps of her backpack with one hand before grabbing the doorknob with the other hand.
Cream: Let the door be unlocked. Please just give me that.
(Cream opens the door, much to her relief)
Cream: Thank you. Now to find some clothes before class starts.
Cream runs inside, closing the door behind her. Minutes later, she slid at the lockers. It didn't take long for her to find her locker before opening it. She looked around, making sure nobody saw her before looking in her locker. She took out a book on origami and a handful of papers.
Cream: It's a good thing Blaze gave me a book on origami for my birthday.
(Cream closes her locker and went into the janitor closet)
Cream opens the book and begins reading it carefully. She then grabs some of the papers and slowly begins folding a few of them. She starts putting some of them together with a little glue, making sure not to use too much. Before long, she looked to see that she made a paper dress. Cream then puts it on, surprised that it fits her before taking her tie out of her backpack. Afterwards, Cream looks in a nearby mirror, quite impressed about her outfit.
Cream: Not bad. At least it's better than nothing.
Eventually, Cream walks out of the janitor closet, just in time as school starts. As she hears the school bell rings, Cream puts her backpack in her locker along with the book on origami before closing her locker and heading towards her class. Hours came and went, and Cream was going through her school day like normal. No one seemed to notice her paper dress, not that she cared anyway. Before long, it was now time to lunch.
(Cream was eating a salad)
Cream: Aside from losing my dress, I guess today isn't too bad. I mean, I heard of people having nightmares about being in their underwear, let alone showing up to school in them but that was ridiculous.
Minutes later, Cream was walking towards her locker. She opens it and takes out her backpack. Cream threw it over her shoulder, but before she could head to her next class, a fire broke loose in one of the classrooms due to an accident with chemicals. One of the students noticed this and pulled the fire alarm near the door.
(Cream noticed this)
Cream: Wait a minute...
(She looks down at her paper dress for a moment before her eyes widened)
Cream: Oh, no.
Suddenly, the sprinklers turned on and water started coming down. Cream watches as some of the water fell onto her paper dress. She watched as it began to slowly dissolve from the water. Panicked, Cream ran down the hallway as her paper dress was dissolving from the water, passing by students and teachers along the way. Before long, she makes it outside of the school.
Cream: Good thing no one saw me. I wonder if my dress is okay.
Cream looks down. Suddenly, her eyes went wide as she realized what was happening. Her paper dress was dissolved due to the water from the sprinklers. It started falling apart until what was left of it fell down to her feet. Cream was in her Bluey panties and matching undershirt once again.
Cream: I had to ask.
Suddenly, she heard the doors opening. Fearing the entire school will see her in her undies, she ran towards the bushes and hid. Just as she did, a lot of the teachers and students came walking out of the school, unaware of what happened to Cream. Peeking from the bushes, Cream was relieved that no saw her, but she knew she wasn't going back inside after what happened. Knowing she had one option left, Cream sneaked behind a nearby tree and opens her SpongeBob backpack and after digging through some school stuff and few extra pairs of undies Vanilla packed for her, she took out her cell phone before calling her mother, hoping she was still at home.
Cream: Hello.
Vanilla: Cream? Is that you?
Cream: Hey, mom. Can you please come get me?
Vanilla: Why? What's wrong?
Cream: I lost my dress, and I don't want the kids at school to see me in my underwear.
Vanilla: Oh, dear. I'm on my way, sweetie.
Cream: Okay. See you soon.
(She hung up before leaning against the tree, letting out a heavy sigh before looking at her undies)
Cream: Worst. School day. Ever.
The End
