One day 3 young boys; Maurice (a cat), Ben (a fox) and Pete (a bear) were out in the woods riding their bikes. Maurice was the youngest, so he still had his training wheels on his bike, while the other two boys can ride bikes without them. However soon the boys came to a big mud puddle. Ben and Pete rode through the mud like it was nothing, however they did get their clothes all mucked up.
'Hehe, look at you, your covered in mud, even your shorts are dirty'., said Ben to Pete.
'Look who's talking, your dirty too. Your shorts look pretty muddy too'., replied Pete.
The two of them laughed, but then they heard the voice of Maurice calling behind them.
'Erm guys. I need some help. I'm stuck'., said Maurice, as he peddled his little peddals, but got knowhere. Instead he splashed mud everywhere.
'Hold on, little buddy, We're coming'., said Ben.
'Need a push'?, asked Pete.
Maurice blushed, but replied with a smile 'Yes please'.
So Ben and Pete got behind Maurice's bike. They each put a paw on Maurice's handle bars and a paw behind Maurice himself, placed gently on his butt.
'Ready'?, asked Ben.
'Yeah'., answered Maurice.
Ben and Pete then started pushing on Maurice and his bike, as he keapt on peddling on his bike, making the training wheels and his main wheels cause more mud to splatter around, but the boys didn't mind that at all.
'Urg..Push, push, push the bike'!, chanted Ben playfully.
'Hurgh..Push, push. push the butt'!, chanted Pete playfully.
Maurice couldn't help but laugh at the playfull chants of his friends, but he was still stuck in the mud.
Pete and Ben then pushed even harder. 'HHUUURRGGHH'!, the boys grunted.
The bike moved a little bit, but it was still stuck in the sloppy mud.
The boys all took a moment to catch their beaths.
'Maybe I ought to get off the bike'?, suggested Maurice.
'I thought you were having fun being pushed'?, asked Pete.
'I was. But I know I can't stay here in this mud puddle forever, right'?, replied Maurice.
Ben then pulled out some rope from a backpack he was carrying.
'Well before you do that, I have an idea. Pete, you're the strongest, so you keep pushing the bike and I'll try pulling the bike out with this rope'., he said, as he tied one end to Maurice's handlebars.
'Good idea'., answered Pete.
'Yeah, that could work. Well I'm ready to give it a try'., added Maurice.
So with that Pete went back to pushing on Maurice's handlebar and Maurice's butt on his seat, while Ben climbed out of the mud pool and pulled hard on the rope. Maurice once again tried peddling.
'HURGH! PUUUSSH'!, cried Pete.
'PUUULLL HUURRGH'!, cried Ben.
The bike moved a few more inches and it was close to the edge of the puddle, but it was still stuck in the puddle. As the bike moved, poor Pete was greeted by even more mud covering his clothes.
'OOOPS, sorry Pete'., apoligised Maurice.
'Hehe, it's OK, I know you didn't mean it on purpose'., answered Pete as he was wiping the mud off of his clothes.
Ben was on the edge of the puddle, still holding onto the rope and laughed as pete was cleaning himself.
After they all caught their breaths again, Maurice jumped off his bike and caused a bit of a muddy splash as he landed.
'OK Pete, I'm going to help you push now. You keep pulling Ben'., he said.
'OK'., replied Ben.
With that Maurice and Pete pushed the bike, training wheels and all through the mud puddle as Ben pulled and tugged on the rope. After much huffing, puffing, heaving and straining, they finally got the bke to the edge of the puddle. Ben dropped the rope and helped Maurice and Pete lift the bike from the mud and onto the solid ground beside it.
'OK, one, two, three..LIFT'!, cried Ben.
The three boys then lifted the bike, and it's training wheels out of the mud and carefully placed it onto the solid path. Then Maurice and Pete climbed out of the mud and joined Ben.
'Phew, that was hard work, but we did it. Are you OK Maurice'?, asked Ben.
'Yeah I'm OK. Though I wouldn't have been if you two weren't there'., answered Maurice.
'That's OK. We don't mind helping you out of these sticky situations. C'mon we better get going to the playground'., added Pete.
'What about our clothes'?, asked Maurice.
'Oh our Mom's will clean us up later. :et's go and play now'., replied Pete.
'Hehe OK'., giggled Maurice as he climed back onto his bike.
Pete and Ben got back on their bikes too and the three of them rode off towards the playground in the distance together.
