Well I tried to go to the source to see if I could find out what kind of spider it is based on and the species they mention are from the Old World although none of them resembled it in design which is curious since it does not have or learn poison type attacks it relies on electrified webs to hunt. Its only poison type attack is one that refers to injecting gastric fluids which as far as I know is the way all spiders feed whether they are poisonous or not. So it is a relatively large spider that hunts by jumping and paralyzing its prey with webs and does not depend on poisons.
