So recently I learned that female echidnas grow pouches to carry their fertilized eggs. As in, they don't have pouches until they have a fertilized egg, then their body grows one. So I finally had an excuse to draw Shade the Nocturnus from Sonic Chronicles (2008)!

No, echidna eggs are white with brown or tan spots on them. The father of this particular egg is supposed to be ambiguous. (But if you know me, you know who I mean for it to be!)
