Ashton's cameo as Lieutenant of the Green Bandana Rebels from

Tacki

's Children of Maeria series!
He makes his first appearance on Page 57:

Yeah, this is one of the only few times I'm posting art of this character, as this version of him actually has a reason for him to be in diapers.

[Backstory]
Before he joined the Green Bandana Rebels, Ashton was believed to have just been a simple airship mechanic from unknown lands to the west of Maeria (Basically that world's version of the United States), he lived in a town that was situated near a dockyard with his best friend Sunny, a Giant Anteater.

He found on her crying, hidden away on the lower decks of a ship he was tasked with maintaining, she told him the captain was apparently trafficking her in secret due to her exotic species, and was planning to sell her for an immensely high price to some rich baron in Heladia as a servant. Not wanting to see her to suffer such a fate, he snuck her out of the ship in secret, having her hide aboard a cart carrying tools and supplies, while getting his co-workers to challenge the captain a soda drinking contest to tire him out so he would set sail without thinking too hard.

He would soon offer her a new home and place to live with him. Happy with her new life, Sunny eventually decided to pursue her interests in singing, and became a singer at a local tavern. While Ashton occasionally worked on his custom robotic racehorse "Dusty". Hoping to use it to earn some hard cash at the races, and to use that money to retire, along with maybe... adopting some crechelings together with Sunny! As she had shown interest in raising some with him!

And for a while, all seemed well! Despite the occasional demon attack, the town he lived in had decently armed civilians to hold them off most of the time. However, one day fate would hit when a massive horde of demons overran the country. His country's government considered his town not 'worth defending' due to it's lack of wealth, despite being rather important to shipping lines as it contained many airship mechanics and dock workers. And thus demanded the military remain in the capital to hold of the demon attack and protect the country's elite and wealthy. Despite this, a small detachment (with some common sense) did end up heading to the town to defend it knowing its importance.

Despite their best efforts, along with the combined effort of many of the town's residents, they were drastically outnumbered and rapidly overwhelmed. Ashton, realizing the attack could not be held off, ran back home in an attempt to get him and Sunny out of town to escape the attack, unfortunately, by the time he arrived, all he found were a group of imps surrounding her, rushing in and fighting off the demons, he soon ran up to examine her, but all he found was her lifeless body...

He still took her aboard his horse, and escaped the town, hoping to make it somewhere where she could have her soul returned, he had 6 hours... maybe she could still be saved...

It was however all for not... Despite their best efforts, they could do nothing... her soul was far too long gone.
Sunny was Dead.

Ashton has had little to no trust in authority figures ever since, and in fact, has a deep hatred for any of them for their ignorance. This feeling worsened even further when the government, not wanting to take the blame for the country's declining economy. Specifically targeted his town and blamed the dock workers for 'not working hard enough' stripping them of many of their rights, forcing them to work immense hours, and making them to pay ludicrous amounts in 'reparations' to restore the country. Ashton realized that something had to change, and thus attempted a revolt against the government with his surviving co-workers they took up arms, and struck at the capital, hoping to overthrow the government for their mistreatment, sadly their uprising failed, and they were soon arrested, and imprisoned for treason.

They eventually broke out thanks to the Green Bandana Rebels, they had heard about the situation, and thus freed the imprisoned dock workers, seeing this as an opportunity for them to join their cause. Ashton was more than willing to do so, stating he will put his life down on the line and ensures that those who wronged him will suffer.

While originally hoping to make a better change. In recent years, some say that his hatred for authority figures have completely clouded his former goals, and it seems all he cares for now, is making sure that anyone affiliated with power is gone.

A deeply ferocious fighter with nothing to lose, Ashton almost never backs down from a fight until he, or his opponent is incapacitated. He wields a pair of Tomahawk/dagger hybrid weapons, which could be separated into their respective parts, along with a tri-barreled pacipistol for short to mid-ranged engagements.
