I've been way behind. Haven't opened Session since the install. Spending all my extra time trying to get my music computer back up again. Every time I format and start over, I lose another emulator. This time it's my Native Instruments Pro-53. Looks like I'll have to adopt yet another keyboard to replace it. What's the old saying: "Life is one damn thing after another!".
I dig this track and wish the new tracker is as productive as it can be. I'm going to try using the SID and other 8-bit VSTs I have to reach the sound we want.

I'm back into Furnace. I really can't do anything good in any other tracker.

This means you're the one that's going to make it a very useful tracker!

I ditched Furnace for the second time.;w;' And am already thinking of getting it again.

Must be something to it if you keep going back to it. You may have picked up a couple new methods using the other progs. All I can think of is rendering each part separately and compiling in Audition. Don't have to keep the renders after you print the MP3.

I tried out all trackers in Ubuntu Software Center today. They are: Bamboo Tracker, Protracker, Fasttracker 2, Milkytracker, TIA Tracker, Schismtracker, Tutka, Klysrtrax, Hivelytracker and Buzztrax. Out of these, I managed to make a sequence in Bamboo Tracker, Protracker, Fasttracker 2 and Milkytracker. The others either crashed or could not emit a sound.

There's so much I don't understand about Linux's inner-workings, but I had a similar issue with a VST (I've deleted) called miniSID. From 2008, and I saw demos where it made sound on other systems. Just not mine. So I stamped it, removed it, and moved on. Go with what works!
Have really narrowed down my VST list. Now I'm sorting out my hundreds of MIDIs. Music shall be!!

LMMS has a SID plugin. I'm using it in one of your MIDIs.

Got an updated version of Sonar (for MIDIs) so I'll have to start "completing" my old tracks. Maybe.
