Her swimsuit was a bit of a tech challenge, and turned out to be a bit of a tech mess, but the end result looks great and that's all that matters!
Also, the colors in the super-fancy, super-stylized, painted halftone version happened by accident, and I've become obsessed with them. Will it ever happen again? SHOULD it ever happen again? Probably not!

... i'm weird, i know... but in the second pic, those ropes, the way they looks with those effects... in a sense are more realistic than in the first, where the formal perfection makes those things a bit irreal...

Oh no, not at all, I completely agree - not 100% satisfied with the flawless look in the main pic myself, but that is the best I could do at the moment. Hey, at least I did the frayed ends which I wasn't sure I could pull off. :)
Now I'm wondering if I could maybe combine the render with a messy overpaint. Don't wanna go back to this one, but it's something I'll keep in mind for next time! :D

The second picture reminds me of weird indie RPGs. Ultraviolet Grasslands and Troika have a similar feel to that style - there was one that fit specifically, something Technicolor Islands
