Ever since she was just a small girl, Elwyna had been mesmerized by thunder. The roaring skies and flashing sparks did always have this strange gravity to them. One stormy night, when everyone else had went to sleep, little El watched nature's display of raw power. However, this time it seemed to have a stronger pull. Quietly little El slipped out of the house, wearing only her nightdress. She walked with her bare feet to the nearby hill, her gaze keenly fixed at the sky.
Something, perhaps a loud thunderclap, woke up El's mother, who quickly noticed her beloved daughter missing. She woke up her husband and the servants to help her to find El. It took only a few small moments, before Elwyna's father noticed a small figure on top of the nearby hill. He ran as fast as he could, for he knew it was her. A loud boom sounded as he was navigating between the bushes and trees. Fearing for the worst, he prepared himself as he was almost there.
He was immensely relieved when he finally was nearing the hilltop, seeing a small figure on its knees. Elwyna was alive, however, on her face was an expression of worry as she looked at her father. Her hair had turned red and floating like they were defying gravity. In the middle of her purple eyes, her pupils had turned slitted in shape, like a feral cat's. Sparks like small lightnings of the thunder above were flickering around her. From her lips escaped a fearful question: "Father, what is happening to me?"
