Yes! I don't know how it's like in my country exactly, but I know it's not too dissimilar to what I learned. Mainly because of that same culture around it, and around death. Where it's something you're not incentivized to think about until it hits you. And then you're not given the time to think about it, that's where a lot of the worst practices happens.
