Just when he thought he could relax and put his "bad guy" persona away for a little while, he realized that not everyone had left. Caught unprepared, he has a hard time turning it back on on the spot. Just take it in while you can, because five seconds from now, he'll probably be ready to tear you a new one for disobeying his orders.

I know I always end up making renders like this, but what can I say? I think this sort of thing is cute. :-) Especially when it's Bowser, I find him adorable when he's juxtaposed against his normally angry personality.

Also, I don't toot my own horn a lot, but I feel like I nailed the lighting on this render. I'm very happy with how this turned out. Yes, it's very simple, but I still think it looks quite nice. I ended up using Cycles instead of Eevee for this one, just because. While Eevee has made lots of headway, it sure still doesn't beat what Cycles can do!
