I don't know if this was intentional or not, but I do appreciate the irony in Absol judging the group of pokemon, when the reason it's dark type is because people judged it for causing natural disasters 😅

You mean in Pokemon or in your stuff? I've always been under the impression that it was "assigned" in a sense by how they were treated I guess that would just be social evolution 🙃

Canonically. They aren't assigned types based on how they're treated. They're assigned types based on what moves are super effective, resistant, or no effect against them. Researchers discover that through testing. They don't call Absol Dark-type for any reason than it's weak to Fighting- and Bug-type attacks, resistant to Ghost- and Dark-type attacks, and is immune to Psychic-type attacks.

Huh... that gives me a funny idea of a pokemon being determined to be the wrong type because they don't have the newer types Like in Gen 1 (not an accurate statement, but for the sake of example, let's say both Electric and Fire are both weak to Ground, but Electric is also weak to Dark) "well this pokemon is either an Electric type or a Fire type since it's weak to Ground 🤔" Also, that's a great comic idea for you; the facility where they use different type attacks on new Pokemon to determine their type. Like one of those animal testing facilities for medicine. The character could be MewTwo (or Type: Null) being tortured to determine type effectiveness, only to break out to get revenge or rediscover faith in humanity (second one more for Type: Null)
