Originally programable war machines. Long ago, they became sentient and went rouge, killing off from their creators, forming their own civilization, and capturing the planet they were on. Early on, they would come across a VX-33 combat droid. It's arms were able to morph into virtually any weapon via adaptable matter. With this, they would reprogram VX-33, giving it a new paintjob, along with updated systems. The prototype would end up becoming the unofficial leader of the Ka'etti, designing their emblem, and finding a cache of assault droids, hovering tank droids, and artillery droids to bolster their numbers, while the originals could focus on repairing or replacing their aging components. The cache would also be reactivated and given the same treatment as them. They'd even find the blueprints, and a factory in order to produce more. Later on after building their ships, they would acquire Dircolan technology, which they would modify and splice into their own vessels. One of these Dircolan tech upgrades allows their ships to act like giant space submarines, in that they can submerge and hide their ships in the barrier between space and subspace. As a result, they are a deadly foe to fight against. They would keep to their small portion of the galaxy, only controlling a few neighboring solar systems.
