The Dragojin use crystals for a lot of different things: Power, Healing, Ammo, Energy Boosts, a lot of those kinds of things. Tundra has a fully automatic beam pistol, which runs ammo off of whatever crystal she slides into it. The firepower does vary, depending on what kind of crystal she uses.

If you ever saw the lost city, where the Dragojin are residing, you'll noticed the place has several HUGE crystals about the place that power the city's many resources.
