You are Lyoko, a Neovoral picked for introduction of your species to the planet designated NVP-03 or as the species down below call it, Earth. Your shuttle had just landed, and you and a few others have set up a small camp of sorts. Though to the people here, it would look more like an apartment, a futuristic one at that. Weeks would go by before anyone on the planet noticed you, and eventually you would be contacted by one of the planet’s organizations, calling themselves The Reserve. A meeting would soon be set up and held at your temporary base, and within only a month of being there, you and a couple of your buddies would be brought to a new location, The Reserve’s main complex to be exact. It would take some time adjusting there, as their technological level was not as advanced as your species, but they would be able to accommodate well enough for it to be pleasant.
Months would go by, and you’d gotten used to living here. One day, you were heading to get lunch when you noticed a human sitting all by himself. You recall hearing from one of the workers that a new hire had been found. After getting your food, you head over to his table and ask him a question.
“You mind if I sit here friending?”
You see him jump in his seat, having been startled by you. Something tells you he wasn’t properly briefed on the kind of things going on here, but lately, many odd things have been happening to begin with. He nods his head, and you sit down across from him, trying to give him some space as he’s clearly uncomfortable.
“Thanks, names Lyoko by the way.” You would say.
You and he would eat in silence, though in reality, you were waiting for him to ask you any questions, but he never did. As he was getting up to throw away some trash after having finished his lunch, he tripped over the leg of a chair. You quickly get up and catch him. You decided you would need to comfort him if he ever was going to be comfortable with your species.
“I know you may be scared of us friending, let me take you back and try to relax you, you seem to be having a rather rough day after all.”
You would carry him back to your room, laying down in bed with him and holding him close to you.
“Relax friending.” You say softly to him, “I have no desire to hurt you.”
It doesn’t take long before he’s fallen asleep, and since you don’t have to sleep right now, you just hold him there, making sure he’s comfortable. After an hour of that, you get up and go over to your computer, deciding to watch some videos to pass the time. At some point, you hear him wake up, and turn around to face him.
“Ah, you’re finally awake friending!”
“H-how long was I asleep?” He asks.
“About 6 hours, give or take a few minutes.”
The two of you would chat for a good couple of hours, with you explaining your species as best as you can. At some point he wondered why you’re only wearing underwear, you simply respond with the fact that they feel nice against your body, and a lot of Neovoral seem to enjoy the tightness of it. He would end up staying with you for a while, before you helped him get back to his room. That would be the last you would hear from him for an entire month. At first, you just assumed he’d quit or was busy with other tasks, but asking around after a couple of weeks, nobody knew where he was. By the third week, the higher ups began a search throughout the entire complex which would lead to finding his room to be sealed. They would also notice one of what they dubbed “feral” Neovoral have gone missing. They eventually put two and two together, and began to try and cut their way inside, only for the door to be opened by the inside, revealing a Neovoral behind it. They were promptly tackled and carried away, before they noticed another one on the floor. You would be told shortly after that your human friend had been transformed forcibly, which deeply saddened you. So, you went to see him as soon as possible, which would be the next day.
“Friending…” You begin to say, “I’m sorry you had to go through all of this.”
“It wasn’t your fault Lyoko, I don’t blame you,” He replies, now speaking with a deeper voice.
“I still very much feel like it was my fault.” You begin to say, “I could have stayed with you in your room, or perhaps- “
“It wasn’t your fault!” He practically yells out, scaring you in the process.
“I’m… sorry for yelling Lyoko, I’ve been on edge since I woke up looking like this.”
“I-its fine friending. Though for now, I wish to give you some space.” You shakily say, before quickly leaving to head back and sleep. While your species may not be able to cry, you can still feel plenty of sadness and even depression at times, and right now, you were feeling something in between. Eventually, you would fall asleep, feeling nothing but regret over what happened.
