Deep in an area of great darkness, an area called the Void, a pair of eyes opens, blue like the ocean. Around them, the eyes hear only negative words, and the eyes slowly turn purple before fading into red. With a loud roar the being flew up toward a door, as it rammed into the door it pushed it open giving the being enough time to exit the Void and, along with a few void beings, formed into a dragon of immense size with 6 wings and a tail adorned with spikes. The dragon looked around seeing clouds as far as the eye could see. In the horizon, an area with a few buildings was in view. Care-a-lot, home of the care bears. The dragon, Void Heart, heard the voice of the void’s core speak to him. Steal the care bears’ belly badges and turn them into monotone creatures. Destroy everything and turn everyone to monotone beings. Void Heart flew toward Care-a-lot, not knowing it was about to cross paths with two heroes.
“See anything, Tenderheart?”
“Not yet Wish, all clear.” The orange furred bear stretched his arms out. Footsteps were heard running up as a pink colored bear ran in, huffing.
“Tenderheart…Wish…There’s something coming!”
“What do you mean mama? There’s…Oh my gosh! What is that?!” Wish brought up the screen that Tenderheart was looking through. A Black Dragon was rushing at Care-a-lot.
“We need to get everyone to safety. Mom, Tenderheart, let’s go!”
“You said it Wish, let’s go.”
“I’ll call your father to get your cousins to safety. Oh man…How does Grams deal with the young ones and still have energy to come up here every day?” True Heart was the Matriarch of the Care Bears barring Grams and Watchful. Meanwhile, Noble Heart was the patriarch, he and True Heart had created Care-a-lot and the forest of feelings. As the three bears got out, they saw the dragon had already landed and was facing all the bears and cousins. True Heart rushed up to Noble Heart who was standing at the front. Watchful was already staring the dragon down.
“Stand down, you dragon of the Void. You have let the negative thoughts affect you! You should not have believed—Agh!” Watchful was slapped away by Void Heart’s tail. As the tail and Watchful moved away, Watchful’s body went White and Black, as an orb with his Belly Badge’s symbol went into Void Heart.
“Watchful! What did you do to him?!” Grams was glaring at Void Heart who roared with laughter.
“You caring fuzzy creatures have yet to fully fear the Void! Stygian Wires!” Tons of dark wires appeared and rushed at the bears and their cousins. Before they could get together to use their stare their bodies were pierced by the wires. The wires retracted soon after, and at the end of each wire was every single Belly Badge! Despite the Badge and Monotone fur color on each bear and cousin, Grams still held Hugs and Tugs close as Tenderheart held Wonderheart who was shaking in fear. Void Heart flapped his wings and flew off toward a castle that appeared from the storm clouds that were whipped up.
As Void Heart was flying, a motorcycle was rushing toward him.
“Ok Mend Heart, got the grappling wire ready?”
“Yes, look Thief Heart, this sounds incredibly dangerous, ok? If you dare to disappear by trying to steal whatever that dragon has on him, I will personally find you, either by going to fight God or the dragon, and I will drag you back!” The Viridian colored bear was holding onto the Grey furred Cat who was driving. Thief Heart smirked and accelerated even faster and pulled up to make the motorcycle jump. As it soared into the air, Mend Heart fired the grappling hook into the watchtower of the care bears and pressed a button on the motorcycle to make it turn into a small microchip. Mend heart pulled the trigger on the grappling hook to let themselves get pulled toward the tower as Thief Heart smirked and activated his special ability.
“Illusion snatch!” Thief Heart rushed into Void Heart, who tried to smack him with his tail, but Thief Heart went into Void Heart’s body dodging the tail. As Thief Heart was in the body, he saw all the belly badges and grabbed one with a four-leaf clover. As he went for another, his paw went through it, which confused Thief Heart for the second before he came out of the other side of Void Heart.
“Crap! Glide Wings activate!” Thief Heart used his glider to dodge Void Heart and fly down to Care-A-Lot. Void Heart let out a huff of frustration and flew onward to his castle. He’d just return and get the belly badge back, and take Mend and Thief Heart’s at that time.
Thief Heart landed next to Mend Heart who used the grappling hook to scale down the watch tower.
“Thief Heart, at least you arrived. What did you get?”
“Some orb, with a clover?”
“If I may, that would be mine. I’m usually not one to believe in bad luck, but that dragon was certainly a smidge of it. However good luck came in the form of you two.” Mend Heart and Thief Heart looked at the bear who walked up, while being in a monotone color, the orb’s clover design matched the one on their belly. “My name is Good Luck Bear, but you can call me Good Luck.”
“I’m Mend Heart, and this is my friend Thief Heart. He specializes in stealing from others and returning to their original owners.”
“Exactly, so here you go, Good Luck.” As Thief Heart handed Good Luck the orb, it began to glow and move into Good Luck’s belly as his green fur returned to him a shockwave was sent out making some parts of Care-A-Lot that had turned monotone back into their normal coloration. Everyone was amazed at what just happened. Mend Heart began mumbling to themself before they nodded.
“Alright, I think I know what’s happened here. I also think I know what to do!”
