Heartbird
(cardius avialis)
Many an ornithologist are confused by this unusual bird on whether or not they hear it or their own heart. Its mating call is very similar to the iconic sounds of the viral organ’s own “lub-dub”s. It feeds almost exclusively on erythromites, lymphomites, and thrombomites, tiny insects that closely resemble the components of human blood. Heartbird males and females tend to form pairs that mate for life. They are always on the move gathering food for their chicks, as they are very prone to natural fat buildups otherwise.
