i suspect yes and no, its more likely the touch of her magic results in the recepient going from normal to 1 week into rut/heat with nobody to help ease the burn in less then a second... so still bad, but not in the same way you are thinking.

I don't think it's necessarily how powerful it is, but the nature of it. An accident happened that corrupted her magic. She's more like half Windigo now than pure pony.
