A year’s time found me at the very same party where Lord Wilhelm first crossed my path. I had not known how to feel about him then, and a year later my feelings were still muddled. He was charming to be sure, full of stories and witty remarks, but he unsettled me somehow. There were times I caught him tossing strange looks my way, like someone eyeing a piece of fresh meat, and the way he delighted in showing off just how much his belly could hold over the course of the night filled me with both excitement and revulsion. But still, I was excited by the prospect of meeting him once more.
I arrived fashionably late, as was my custom, and found the ballroom overflowing with perfumed and well-dressed nobility. Weaving my way through them, I searched for some sign of this silver fox who fascinated me so. My mind racing with strange thoughts.
How much had Wilhelm’s ball belly grown since then, I wondered. How much could it hold now? How fat had it made him? These questions excited me, and I didn’t know why. They gave me new feelings that I struggled to process, and they drove me towards the buffet.
I found it picked over, abandoned by all but a few guests who rummaged through what little remained upon the table. Wilhelm had been here, that was clear, but where had the greedy fox gone?
This question was answered almost immediately when something firm and warm pressed into my back. It vibrated in unsettling ways, and the humid, wheezing breaths of someone unknown bathed my neck. I flinched, my heart racing, and a familiar laugh rang out.
“Hahahaaaaa, you must excuse me Madame. In my haste to greet you I have once again misjudged my new dimensions!”
Turning swiftly, I found the sharp toothed grin of Sir Wilhelm. The fox was drunk, his eyes a little bloodshot, and his face a little softer. Most of him was softer now, not truly fat yet, but less defined. I was surprised to see him wearing the same dark green suit that he had sported the year before, and while it still fit for the most part, the shirt sleeves and pants legs were tight. Wilhelm must have worn it on purpose, for it was already unfit to wear, and the ticking time bomb that churned like a cement mixer between us was making sure that suit would never fit again. It hung heavily from his body like a cannonball, but it was bigger, much bigger. As big as the great wooden globe in my library, but this globe was a living thing. A warped stomach and overstretched intestines, all encased within an ever-expanding sea of abdominal fat that left his pelt constantly stretching and reduced the buttons of his shirt to useless decorations.
My eyes dropped from Wilhelm’s drunken smile to that presurized mass like a stone, and he chuckled, swishing a wine glass in one paw, while the other patted his bulging side where the fur was beginning to thin.
Thwump, thwump
“I must confess, I was hoping to see you here. So rarely do I get to share my achievements with anyone who holds genuine interest, -hurp – and I may have gone a bit overboard tonight in anticipation of our meeting.”
His belly bounced with that burp, and it sloshed like a cauldron in an earthquake, the fresh new stretchmarks radiating from his herniated nub of a navel spreading slightly farther apart with the strain.
“Go on, explore how tight it’s become, you can feel my stomach muscles spasming quite a bit if you place your palm here,” he said eagerly, grabbing my hand and guiding it towards the upper shelf of his belly where it erupted from his fluffy chest and flared up between his budding moobs.
It was an alien feeling. The skin was feverishly hot, and there was this fluttering sensation, like a baby kicking in the womb, but these movements were more violent, and they forced sickly belches from the fox’s muzzle.
“Mmmm, can you feel it -blurghp – right there. Gods, your finger pads feel like a cool balm against my poor pelt, such delight.”
His tail began to wag faster, and the glutted fox shuffled closer. “Why -hurk- don’t you help me settle this,” he said, patting my hand where it still rested atop his rounded fecundity. “And I’ll regale you with some of my adventures over the past year while the buffet is restocked.”
I looked up from his magnificent gut and could not hide my excitement. “How could I ever refuse such a generous offer, my lord.”
