Who's Dixie Woods?

Based on the Character from Amblination's 1995 Balto. Dixie is one of the characters from that film. A small purple Pomeranian dog who wears a purple collar with a heart-shaped pendulum.
While she's mostly playing a minor role, She's also friends with Jenna and Sylvie, the latter is part of Steele n friends. She had a crush on Steele in the movie until she found out about Steele's treachery where she slaps him and leaves him with disappointment.

While traits of her Balto self are carried over to Steele n Friends such as being friends with Sylvie and fondling over Steele. This version has a lot more of a darker story to her. There are elements of Folwilliar's Dixie also used in this world.

History
Dixie Sandra Dickensen Woods was born at the Bi-Cell Memorial Hospital in Starhold, Thule on October 18th, 2001. Her mother Sandra Dickensen and her father Woddar Woods were her parents and lastly her little Sister Ingrid (April 4th, 2003 - June 7th, 2038) Woods.

For most of her life, Dixie lived in a constant Hell. Her mother had a tumor in her brain causing her to black out and gain a second personality often taking her anger and abuse out on both Dixie and Ingrid. Dixie was also bullied throughout her School life. Having people talk bad about her, Saying racial slurs towards her, and at times getting physical with her until she snaps back and beats on them.

There have been times when she fought against Ingrid's bullies to the point of being sent to the principal's office for her violent behavior. At the age of Eight years old on June 7th, 2010 her father was killed in a dragon attack. This along with the near bankruptcy of their home cause Sandra's anger to rampant. Anything failure of Sandra, She blamed on her daughters.

Dixie's mental state would sour due to both her mother at home and the bullies at school. Her only solace away from it all was at a friend's house. This person's name has been lost to time but she spent more time there than at home until this person and their family moved to Mazkagale, Thule due to her father getting a promotion for the Mazkagale Bi-cell branch.

Leaving Dixie to be alone once more. In her middle school years, She would once more get into fights but this time there was one person who would help her. Volkyr Hjarnsson, the School's assistant principal. A fair-skinned Norsemen and a veteran. He helps with Dixie anytime she gets into trouble since he too understands what she's gone through.

She would help Dixie in controlling her anger, giving her money for lunch when she didn't have enough and even tutoring her in classes she was failing. Thanks to Volkyr, Dixie changed her personality until she left Middle school and entered high school.
She started fighting her bullies again but this time it was at a less frequency. Ingrid would also start seeing Volkyr in her 7th grade year in middle school which brought joy to Dixie. In her first few days during her freshmen year, she would meet Bosco Fel, A male twilight Pomeranian like herself.

These two would form a boyfriend, girlfriend relationship. When he reached the age of Seventeen, She and Bosco would get a job at the local Pinnochio Pizzeria. Back at School, Dixie would join the school's newsletter club and prove her writing skills to Miss Belowe. A Norse woman who ran the school newsletter club. She became impressed by Dixie's writing skills and made her an honorary member of the club until her senior year when Dixie was booted out for making Gossip articles about certain students at the school.

She would graduate from High School and continue to work at the pizzeria with Bosco as the two began dating. Often spent time with him when she felt unsafe at home although she would take care of Ingrid and even bring Ingrid with her when her mother took her anger out at Ingrid.

However, Dixie began drinking and when drunk she became quick to anger in her drunken state and this would happen all every night. Dixie started getting sick both physically and emotionally to the point that Ingrid started taking issue with her alcoholism. They would start to crack, Sandra got sicker with each passing day and Dixie had to work nonstop just to support her and Ingrid and even their mother.

At age twenty-four on April 5th of 2026, Sandra succumbed to her sickness and died at the Bi-cell Memorial Hospital. Dixie and Bosco would break up due to him moving to the deserts of Hykoria for a new career and lastly, any strings that barely held her and Ingrid's relationship would be cut.

Dixie would go through a downward spiral. Entering a self-destructive phase and on April 26th after a fight with Ingrid, Dixie packs up and leaves her home and travels to Omigard, Alaska alone where she continues her self-destruction, renting an apartment and getting into trouble with the law until she is forced to volunteer for the Grand Nordic Unity for her reckless behavior.

She would be stationed in Nome, Alaska where she would meet Sylvie Kremyr. An Afghan hound from Anumtilia and gossiper. Sylvie serves as a military reporter and novice wizard and would work alongside Dixie while she serves as a recruit. They both did.

In her second month, Dixie reached the rank of Corporal and served alongside Sylvie who became Private. Still, there's Sergeant Kaltag, a Chinook from Falkgrim Thule, Nikki Fergorsson, a large husky native to Omigard, Star Rolfe a husky hybrid. Mix between a Siberian and an Issgord, the squad's tactician, and Steele Hams the Major who was retired by that point.

Dixie would grow a fondness for Steele that she hadn't felt toward him since her time with Bosco. Dixie would get to know Steele for a few months but mostly due to stories she heard of him. On October 20th (two days after her 26th birthday) Dixie would be promoted to Drengr-Corporal and be put on Zulis squad with Sylvie. She would return to her old days as a writer and become a War journalist like her friend but would have the following people to tag along with her.

Recruit Skye Bonibar, an upcoming pilot for the GNU Air defense branch, and Everest Thoricdottir from Issgord. She was sent as an auxiliary force by the Great Issgord Nation. Near the end of the year, a new strain of Diphtheria would break out in Nome once more. Hundreds of its human inhabitants. The Bi-cell corporation was able to develop a cure for this new strain near the end of January of 2027.

Steele would volunteer for the serum run but due to losing his wife and deep PTSD, Steele changed and became problematic. He let his fame as a renowned General get the best of him so much so that he was willing to let the sick die just to see his rival lose the run.

Dixie and Sylvie would stay behind due to their relationship with the journalist at the Omigard Gazette but still were in the corp. Dixie would regularly update the news regarding the pandemic daily.

Skye would travel with the team to Anchorage to retrieve the serum when they would get shot down by a discovered enemy only identified as the Dominian. Mistaken as a terrorist group, Steele and his team plus Skye would fight back near the forest of Mount Talachulitna.

All hope seemed lost but on February 4th of 2027, Steele alone returned to Nome and lied about his team dying. It was only a few hours later that his team returned with the serum and a cargo truck.

Everyone including Dixie would lose respect for Steele and the former general would go into exile after being discharged. On March 8th, Nome would be under attack by this Dominian Force. Dixie would be given her first assignment by General Leonhard Seppala the 4th (the dependence of the first Leonhard Seppala).

Her assignment is to discover the Origins of the Dominian. She and Everest Thoricdottir would travel to an unmarked facility belonging to the Dominians in [Redacted], Alaska on March 10th. There they discover that the Dominians were cloned from an ancient Norse Jarl of hasn't been identified and more so that they go way back to the 1970s and were created by Bi-cell Corporation.
Dixie would make notes, take pictures, and even steal documents regarding the artificial clones. She and Everest would place charges in their refinery and escape before the facility blew up.

The mission for her was a success. Dixie would be traumatized during her time in combat. Having to kill for the first time. She would be haunted by these events every day and night.  Dixie along with Everest and Sylvie would also discover that these Dominians have many of these facilities throughout the globe.

On March 15th, She along with Sylvie would be deployed to Koyuk, Alaska to infiltrate a Dominian Stronghold to capture it. Dixie and Sylvie would assassinate the Dominian Overseer who ran the stronghold while the rest of her forces attacked from the outside. She manages to kill the Overseer dubbed "Bear" due to his bearish appearance but this nearly kills her since he is a Gen-3 Super soldier with a hefty durability and pommles her to near death but regardless she manages to erase him from life.

Although she would be deemed as a hero even by the New Hero of Nome. She would serve one more mission to Dawn's Passing, Germany to stop the terrorist organization "Free Peoples Resistance" from nuking the region. Hisan Pikir is their priority target, located in an old Soviet nuclear bunker.

Sent alone this time, She would infiltrate the bunker to silently kill the human this time around only to discover that he was eighteen years of age. She once again felt mortified by her actions since he was young and most likely a pawn for someone else who was bigger. She was given an honorable discharge after her mission and sent back to Omigard.

She would return to her apartment and get a job at the Omigard Main Street Gazette where she works as a newspaper columnist. Writing articles on both paper and digital. Her first story was a gossip-filled article regarding a teacher at the Omigard Middle School who was sexually attractive to one of his female students.

She got him arrested by the Omigard Police. By next year in 2028, she would be in a bar when she encountered the famous musician Cash (from Fox and the Hound 2). She would end up in a three-way relationship between him and a Hykorian (Saluki) hound also named Dixie. Even though she would be a rival to Dixie Mcentire, dating Cash would be worth it.

For years they would date and she would be made an honorary member of his band the Singin Strays. Then in 2035 on September 3rd, Steele would return and even if she couldn't forgive him for his actions, She gave him a second chance. Their first date would be to go out to eat and a walk in the park when Steele reveals that he has been to Hell for a long time to atone for his sin and even shows regret for his actions.

Dixie by that point would be scared to tell him that she's dating Cash. So she kept it silent for a while. On October 18th on her 34th birthday. She would join Cash for a day at the Omigard Hotel's palace of pleasure but that night she would join Steele for a trip to the MCR concert at the Omigard Con center. So by the end of the year on December 31st. She would leave Cash and Dixie behind in favor of Steele.

This would upset Cash since he had wanted to dump Dixie Mcentire for a long time since they lived in a toxic relationship. He discovers Steele at a Mexican restaurant and while he shows respect for Steele, He sees him as a lost cause for Dixie. That next day Dixie and Skye would hang out for lunch at the Omigard Plaza. They would encounter Dixie Mcentire who exposed her rival to Skye that she has been sleeping with Cash.

This causes the cockapoo to get upset at Dixie when the Pomeranian confirms her relationship with Steele and it would get worse once Steele found out about it and left Dixie that same night. Dixie would feel guilty for keeping this secret from Steele since the malamute has changed. On January 29th, 2035, she got into an altercation with Dixie Mcentire which resulted her in beating the saluki to near death only to be stopped by the new resident Bolt from Mazkagale, Thule, and Steele's longtime childhood friend.

Of course, Cash and Other Dixie left Omigard, never to be seen again except on social media. Cash and Dixie Mcentire broke up and Steele forgave Dixie for sleeping with another man. In turn, Dixie returns to dating Steele and makes amends with Skye. Years went and on September 27th She visited her home in Starhold Thule for the final time due to being haunted by Ingrid's spirit. She atones for her mistake and lets go of the past. She would bring Ingrid's ashes back to Omigard and marry Steele.

On her 37th birthday, Steele's daughter returns from college, making Dixie her stepmom.

-------
Appearance
Dixie Woods belongs to a sub-breed of Pomeranian called the Twilight Pomeranian. Standing at 4'9ft tall with silvery-lavender purple fur, Pink tuff hair, and a cream muzzle.  Her eyes are blue and while her outfit changes from time to time, she always wears her purple collar with her golden heart-shaped pendulum.

While she hasn't been religious, Her father was said to worship the god Tyr. Aesir god of War and law. but in her time in the Military, she took to worship Baphomet, the Duke of Hell due to her near-death experience in her fight against THQ-84 "Bear" and the demon saved her from death.

As mentioned several times Dixie Woods currently works for the Omigard Main Street Gazette with Sylvie Hruntyrdottir the Afghan hound and Skye Bonibar the Cockapoo.

---------
There are several references to Folwilliar's version of Balto's Dixie.
Both work as a news reporter, Both versions dated Cash (a Character from Fox and the Hound 2) and hold a rivalry with Dixie Mcentire (the antagonist also from Fox and the Hound 2). But there are some references to her counterpart in Unseen Primal, the sister series to Steele N Friends. Both are rage-filled fighters and survived abuse and trauma as well as marring Steele in both worlds.

-------
Dixie is a flawed character. She can be unreasonable, brash, and abrasive but deep down she has a kindness that keeps away from her more darker side. Tormented from her past whether it was abuse or War Trauma. Dixie has managed through it all.

This is one of many upcoming Character lore essays for Steele N Friends, covering one of the two main protagonists, Dixie. It is based on the minor character from Amblination's Balto. This isn't a deep or complex lore of the character but a basic surface level of her. I'll also make an Unseen Primal version of her in the near future, and of course, I have two upcoming Steele n Friends stories coming, but those will take time.

Anyways All criticisms are welcome and feel free to discuss in the comment section. Good night or Good morning.
