So Shadow wasn't completaly evil. He did felt remorse for his actions and made Suko his only person that keep him togheter. Anyway he didn't felt remorse for what he have done to Mephilies and Suko's mother. Or maybe his instable mind is eated alive day and day out for what he has done or he just decided to forget it about it and thinking it was necessary and those persons did him wrong. I kinda expcted the twins dad to prefer Mephilies over Shadow, showing how much selfish he must have been for liking one your kids just for their power. I assume he was that kinda of father but he didn't deserve to die. He said that Shadow's selfish like their mother but I can see where Shadow took his anger from. Who was his example. His soul shard must be really corrupted at this point. At the early ages of 20 he had two kills on his consciousness and a betrayal without counting the way he acted around Suko when he was 17 and how he treated his brother. You said he left his father's ring inibhitors on him to prevent himself to hurt anyone in the future, but his father said he need new and stronger ones cause the inibhitors he had were weak to restrain him so it was a stupid and careless decision from Shadow. Or just a selfish one lead from him thinking his father was wrong and he could kept at bay his anger with his old inibhitors and Suko by his side. Now he's the new next king. I wonder how Suko will take the news of being engaged to Shadow and if it will be Shadow to say it to him and how he will say the news to Suko. Doom wasn't a perfect father but he was a single dad doing everything. So he prioritized on the son that's more important to the future. He didn't care what happened to Mephiles. He had to get him in trouble and sadly Sukos mother was at the right place at the wrong time. Does Shadow feel bad? Maybe. But it worked. So he didn't care. His rings have been improved since "Flowe" but he learned how to remove them. He keeps them updated but he often doesn't care about them. So he gets violent outbursts. His shard is getting messy now holding more power that's not his So the rings basically don't even work most days. Now that he's on his own he can say whatever that works. And luckily Sukos young. Still a childs mind that can be molded. Technically this was supposed to be the last part of the past but you reminded me I should do a follow up of the new arrangement. Wonder how Suko feels about all this. Thank goodness the elders are watching over him.
