the red tummied courtney (Magnigarrulus Rubriventer)
this courtney is a unique specimen from a highly aggressive species, and would have certainly been cannibalized in the wild due to her small size and pale belly. it was originally thought that a full-sized red-tummied courtney was 15 feet tall, though this statistic is currently under scrutiny due to the small courtney being its only source.
the red tummied courtney is a carnivore belonging to the superfamily musteloidea, typically found in forests and alpine tundra. though their social behaviour is not well documented, they are surprisingly gregarious and can evidently produce a wide range of vocalisations.
this is a creature based on my wife! we've established a lot of lore about the red tummied courtneys over the years, so it feels good to finally put a face to the name.
