This entire background (plus my general art) to the 2018 video game Frostpunk by 11 bit Studios, where people of Great Britain were forced to relocate to the North to form the new home while withstanding the eternally harsh winter.
"Here, a large generator served as the lifeline of this city, providing shelter to those who needed, fueling light in every homes and streets, empowering essential services to everyone's benefit, and marking the beacon of life to the lost. However, it would long require an unspecified but huge amount of coal for the city to prosper and strive, even when facing the storm. But even then, stability the city would achieve would also come with more issues, and they would come from within."
