One of my characters in my fan-fic "DIVERGENCE" is Nid Nannatar the Librarian. Created long ago by the merging psychic shadows of many sorcerors, in the aftermath of the Time of the Madness of Blood, he-she-it! maintains the Grand Cosmic Library of the Multiverse. It has EVERY book from every world in every reality. Don't ask me to describe him-her-it! ,as everybody sees his-her-its face in his or her own terms.
Most specifically, the Librarian guards the terrible Book Perdurable, which had set off the Madness of Blood and ended a civilization cycle. From time to time somebody managed to purloin it and cause havoc anew. The last person who stole it,at the bidding of Amy Gdala, had to run a gauntlet worthy of Indiana Jones ! Amy Gdala caused the latest outburst of uproar, but ,tho it was resecured most firmly, Amy Gdala did copy some pages from it ...
Most of these librarian pics fail to show a librarian that could be an avatar of Nid Nannatar. The one by Moustache might suffise.
