Crap! that last page has me so confused and full of questions. Heck! What did Shadow mean by his rant at the end? How is the situation his brother's fault? What was the arrangement by Black Doom? What's his part in this? If Shadow really wanted Suko, why did he allow the slavers to take him away??? He was right there to stop it. What on Earth is going on? This really has me on edge.

I'll do my best to explain! They're twins. But Mephiles is the older twin with a stronger soul shard. Making him better fit to be king.the arrangement was made way before the three kids were born. They were to combine their kingdoms to become stronger and help keep nature in balance. Meaning they already planned for Mephiles and Suko to be together. Shadow always had a crush on Suko but tried to deny it after a while. Trying to avoid ruining plans. As he got older he learned that he had a weaker shard and wasn't given much appreciation cuz of it. Making him angry. Yes he wants Suko but he wants his shard more. He got it but learned that he only had half of it. Assuming Suko died he didn't care to look. But knowing of his existence he wants the rest of his shard and to keep him. Shadow is power hungry and Suko has enough magic to make him into a god. Probably why they didn't want him to be with Suko in the first place.
When they first met Mephiles joked that Shadow should marry Suko instead. But they were kids and didn't know what was planned fully. Overtime Mephiles actually started to like Suko. Which yknow. Pissed off Shadow

He wasn't informed that his shard was split. When he tried to use Sukos shard fully it failed. And Mephiles had to break that news to him. So he used it for more... personal uses. I mean Sukos shard is cracked so it's already faulty. And if you'd like to know where the second half is! It's still in Suko! Which is why he needs his body. The purple spark seen occasionally in the story is that half! Damaged from years of abuse.

You said that Mephilies was choosed to be Suko's mate and it was planned way before they were born and confirmed later since Mephilies showed to bhave a strong soul shard, I still didn't understand Shadow accused Mephilies to have 'stolen' Suko from him if in the end Suko choosed to marry him and it appears to be engaged to previously. Mephilies didn't take Suko away. And since Shadow hadn't a strong soul shard like his brother and I think his father knew and Suko's parents too, how did they accepted Suko to be engaged to Shadow instead to his powerful brother? Who did ask this change in planes? And even if they accepted the request, was always them to put 'rules' for Shadow to follows during his engagement to Suko? I ask cause in your comic 'trust issue' (and let me say, I liked it), Suko said to Shadow that he had rules to follow and he was breaking them. I know this is an Eggonic comic and Shadow is really despicable, to use a nice term, but I'm still intrigued by his twisted character and his relationship with Suko before 'leaving hell'. I want to know more about him. I shouldn't say that but I like how twisted, obsessed and evil you made Shadow! I like him! Thank you for this series, and even if I don't ship Sonic with Eggman I'll follow it for Shadow and of course for the way you developed your characters!

Oh this is a good question I plan to draw out but in case I don't here's a quick summary!
As the boys got older, Mephiles wasn't into Suko. He didn't want to be king. But as sweet as Suko is his charm got to him. He promised Shadow he could have Suko not knowing about the soul shard situation. When Suko was around 10 he started crushing over Mephiles in the end. Which Shadow saw as Mephiles using his hypnosis on him. So in a fit of anger he lied to Suko about something. Putting Mephiles to blame. Which broke their trust and so Shadow could have him. The original arrangement was for the offsprings to marry. But it wasn't known that the other kingdom had twins. So they went with the stronger soul child. Aka Mephiles. Because Suko was angry at Mephiles he refused to engage with him and took Shadows side for comfort. It wasn't planned for him to marry Suko but since Mephiles was nowhere to be found they had to change their plans. Praying their bond would be strong enough.
In Trust Issues the rule was no intimacy before marriage. Because trauma damages souls. And if Sukos soul was ruined enough he couldn't fight the final plans. Suko wasn't even supposed to get married till he was 18. But Shadow manipulated the poor boy to get him sooner.

Thank you so much for have answered me! Oh, and you know, I was kinda imagining that Suko developed a crush over Mephilies and I was even hoping for it. That would explain a lot about Shadow's twisted character. Always behind his brother even when it comes to love. And it's interesting how much his power hunger walked along his obsessesion with Suko, I'm curious to know when his 'love' for Suko was overpowered by his lust for power. I bet he made up that lies about Mephilies and ruining their relationship not just for Suko's love but to secure himself the next king's position. Oh, so Suko just wanted to find in Shadow comfort but he wasn't really in love with him. Interesting! How much must have been unbearable for such an ego monster like Shadow to play the nice and good guy, always choosen for comfort by Suko and even as as second best but not for love. As I've said I'm into your Shadow and alas your series, and I hope you'll draw what you explained to me. And of course even if you didn't is cool. Just please I hope in the series as it develops some questions about Shadow's past will be answered. Ps: You said Mephilies had a strong sould shard so hat's why when they first meet Suko, Mephilies's blessings worked instantly on him while Shadow's one just made Suko cry? I'm also working on lore for the Soul Shards themselves since they're a big deal. When they made their silly blessings yes, Mephiles worked since he was stronger. The reason Suko cried was actually cuz Shadow accidentally scratched him! Hinting to future abuse! He may have not meant it. But it happened.
